Maybe none of those people bothered to develop nukes? If your heroism is in yellow, you have Hero status and it means nukes are no longer a deterrent.
The Nuclear equipped targets list on the FOB missions? Yes, it's broken for everyone, on all platforms.
Ah okay. Though it was weird that I don't see anyone on the list.

I've never seen anyone on the nuke list either and my heroism is around 6 million, I think it's broken?

6 million?! Seriously? How long have you played this game if your heroism is so high?

I've gotten to a mission that requires a Fulton Extraction that can pick up heavy cargo, but I can't develop it because I'm missing a Transportation expert. How can I recruit one right away, or is it completely random?

When you hover over a main mission it tells you what specialists/blue prints there are in the mission.

Pick one with a Transportation expert (like Mission 10, for example) and focus on extracting the prisoners.

In the alternative you can just
defeat the enemies that pop out of the cargo truck and drive it out of the hot zone to finish that mission, without using the Fulton at all.

I'm at 2 million and yet I'm still soaked in blood. I really wish I weren't.

Demon Value =/= Heroism

You can have all the heroism on earth but still be in Demon Snake mode. Visit the animal conservation platforms, fulton near death soldiers, rescue child soldiers, etc will all lower your demon value so you can get out of that.

Dude, I know, trust me I know. I've already calculated how many trips to the animal conservation I need to take, and it's not pretty. (I've developed 5 nukes).

Heard this mentioned elsewhere and also saw it in the wiki but it's interesting how Quiet's XOF uniform is called
Gray XOF
, seems like she may have been XOF's equivalent of
Gray Fox in rank.

Oh it was the Boss? Cool.

Yeah, really nice touch.

So other than your horn growing really big with more demon points, you actually get permanent blood on your face?

Right, you can't wash off the blood.

So how exactly can I find better opponents in FOB? Do I just need to infiltrate a bunch of the low-ranking FOBs to get better-equipped opponents, or am I just fundamentally misunderstanding the system?

Man,
Act 2
is really tough for me to get through.
Replaying earlier missions is a lame way of padding the length. They should have just made the second act the few story missions and all of the cut scenes.
I know you don't have to do all of them, but you do need to do some to advance the story.

Also,
A quiet exit
is an awful mission. Feels completely out of place with the rest of the game and just isn't fun.

Really dug
Act 1
but
Act 2
really sucks IMO.

You're not forced to do ANY of the extreme missions. If nothing opens up, do more Side Ops.

Do you know you can skip the

?
Just do yellow missions, listen tapes and do some side ops if nothing pops up.

Edit: beaten like Skull Face

Its based on rank and luck, I have (usually) lvl40+ security but I'm listed D or below because I dont do FOB at all.

I'd like to ask this also, I've just gotten the FOB and I'd like to know how to maximize reward, particularly resources and processing time, while minimizing risk to my FOB.

I swear [Basically End Story Spoilers for All Tags]
Huey keeps going back and forth between being dismissed and back in my R&D group
, don't know if it's because I removed some lower A++ guys or it's a bug. It's annoying seeing how we lose
Quiet but fucking Huey is still around after his ass got kicked off Mother Base
. Fuck
...Huey
.

Also annoyed at two low level mission or side op guys that we're stuck with.

Invade low level guys with only 1 Base Development platform. Tons of materials, not many guards. Can be done easily without any alerts which means lots of points and no chance of a retaliation.

You'll rank up quickly which will give you access to better opponents if that's your main goal.

So my nuke finished and Venom's shrapnel grew. It actually develops while you aren't playing as well as when you play. Now to figure how to dispose of a nuke. How long do I need to hang out at the zoo?

Dangit, wish I knew that! I think I did 3 or 4.

So I just finished
A Quiet Exit, I think mission 45? Is that the end of the game? 46-50 are replay missions. Are there any additional cut scenes or is the final cutscene with quiet explaining herself the end of the game?

Confused.

45 is the end of Quiet's story. 46 is the final story mission of the game, play it till the end.

Boy that last mission is some hot bullshit
Just replaying the prologue again is one of the lamest endings to a game I've ever seen.

"Hello gamer, you've played this game for at least 50 hours now. Let me explain to you again how you crawl. Here, I'll show the tutorial button prompts, just to be sure."

Making you replay the entire prologue just for a magic reveal at the very end is the perfect example how Kojima had no fucking clue in terms of pacing this game.

But yeah, welcome to the club. Now get to the Spoiler thread and yell out your frustrations.

After reducing my backlog a little bit I think I am finally ready to move on to MGS:V. I have a question though: Is it worth it replaying Ground Zeroes for the unlockable stuff? Can you even transfer from PS3 to PC?

It is worth replaying Ground Zeroes because its awesome. Im pretty sure that save transfer would not work.

Anyway, if Im not wrong its just a few outfits and soldiers/Kojima.

Okay thanks. I am not rebuying it for PC so I'll have to manage without bonus soldiers and costumes/outfits.

Now that I am waiting nuke to get developed I have this empty feeling since I don't really have anything to do in the game anymore aside from just collecting resources to finish FOB (those 4/4 platforms cost like crazy) and develop some useless stuff. Really shame that there isn't NG+.

Can't you get Kojima in Phantom Pain via SideOps though? Or is it just for those who played GZ?

Replaying main ops for S ranks lately, sometimes I bank my entire mission on the time bonus or the super nice no traces bonus, often with good results.

I got such a rush yesterday from infiltrating OKB Zero with perfect stealth, no traces. Did not interact with anything or anyone in the level. No retries either, managed to do it in one go. It was SUCH a relief when I finally reached the stairs, hahah.

OKB Zero is such a good mission. Really have to try no traces run on that. I S-ranked it just driving through the level with a tank.

OKB has some really great level design, too... the first couple times I replayed it I found rather different approaches or areas I didn't even see the first time (the small underground sewer canal; the upper levels in the back area that allow you to enter the stairs at a higher level).

BTW to the GZ Transfer question above, I heard you can do it at any time so if you feel you're sort of worried about missing out on stuff, someone else posted here that you can sync the data later and still unlock the unique characters.

It's definitely one of the best missions in the game. Really difficult the first time I went through it, but oh-so-satisfying.

Anyone else had their espionage score reset to zero?
Not that I care
maybe you were offline because of maintenance? it disappears when you're offline

i think it was my first E rank because I went full rambo for over an hour and a half... got something like 85 kills/KOs :D

looks so good at night too with the spotlights and sort of boreal aurora or whatever (end of the mission/start of 31 waaaay better at night too IMO) the power station looks incredible at night

not sure :( maybe try disconnecting and reconnecting a couple times

i had my resources all wonky once and everything updated and made sense after i disconnected/reconnected twice

pretty sure your rank is server side so maybe it's just screwed up being read on your game right now, and next time "your espionage rank has been updated" or otherwise some sort of 'refresh' or sync will fix it :D

At least re-watch the cutscenes on youtube and make sure to listen to all the tapes (also on youtube) from GZ.

I should try that, both times I played those missions was during the day.

So I've developed every single weapon/item in the.

All I need to do is create and dismantle a nuke(just want the achievements)

But I've always played every Metal Gear as non-lethal as possible and don't want any of them darn Demon Points. How do I make that rascal go down after making the nuke?

Hey guys, I've been getting on the FOB metagame for the past few weeks, and I'm having a lot of fun. I usually use noctocyanin (The drug to detect enemies) and it's giving me a solid edge on invasions. However, I can't seem to make it function on defenses to detect the invader. Is it a bug? Does it not detect human players? What gives?
