You can't do an anime adaptation without having a hot girl in Spartan armor. :lol

Then it will already be infinitely better than Gotham Knight.SecretBonusPoint said:I imagine 2 of these will be good, and the rest utter shit.
SecretBonusPoint said:I imagine 3 of these (Studio 4C and Bones ones) will be good, and the rest utter shit. The one in there that looks like generic anime with nothing linking it to Halo specifically made me roll my eyes.
Wizman23 said:My point is I play Halo as a video game, not to watch anime. I want to see what 343 studios is working on game wise. I don't think my poist was that hard to comprehend.
Johann said:While we can't rule out the possibility of a game, 343's primary job is to expand Halo to every form of entertainment possible.
duckroll said:What happened to the staff MS sniped from Gearbox? And Ryan Payton? Where are they working exactly within MS? Are they part of 343 now?
Littleberu said:Wow, the trailer looked shitty, the actions looked really generic, and the animations (from the few seconds we saw) looked rather bad.
Zhuk said:Are you really condoning piracy?? the same can be said for all digital media.
duckroll said:So are you basically saying in a fucking long winded way, that because it's animated you're just going to download it illegally and watch it with no intention at all of buying it? I just want to be clear here.

It's not a subject, it's a wildly varying method of interpretation from a country.
Halo, is as wide as it is deep, fictionally and the "bald space marine" trope tends to be trotted out by folks with no interest in its fiction and a one-console, or rival-game agenda. Halo is not Shakespeare, but it has resonance and depth in its deeper fiction.

Could you clarify if Origin from Studio 4C (the 30 min two parter) counts as 1 episode or 2 episodes?
OuterWorldVoice said:Origin counts as one "episode" so there are actually eight "pieces"
Zeouterlimits said:The Inside Xbox video seems to have some footage playing on the Screen in the background that either wasn't as clear in or just isn't in the trailer.
Don´t forget Suparutan patsu and Corutana oppai.Yami said:I'm waiting for the ever so moe Chief.
Oh and kawaii-desu-chibi Chief.
The episode from Bones is truly for mech geeks. Aramaki, who did designs for Macross and Mospeada, designed the experimental power-armored suit showcased in this episode. A marine has been sent to a distant planet to destroy this powered armor, but when he arrives he finds the planet is still inhabited by humans who are under siege by the Covenant. The suit is their only hope for survival. So he disobeys orders and keeps that suit -- at least temporarily -- the help the civilians.
Ichiro Itano is responsible for the classic "missile dance" featured in the Macross Saga. In fact, it's called the Itano-Circus. One of his three disciples, Yasushi Muraki, directed this episode. He knew that Aramaki could make a brilliant design for the power armor and indeed he did. These two collaborators bring what is described as "mech porn" to the Halo universe. Expect a firefight like you've never before seen in any Halo game.

So I spend most of the day looking over Frank's shoulder, checking out the anime dailies coming in from Japan, and teaching him naughty Japanese phrases he can use during meetings with his new best friends Aramaki, Oshii, and co.
Oh, and I'm directing a game that will take over all your lives.

In the IGN article it says the writer of Cowboy Bebop is writing "The Package," but would that be Keiko Nobumoto (afaik she left the industry years ago and doesn't write anymore) or Dai Sato. Probably Dai Sato right?

[*]Video game anime - if its not feature length - isn't worth a dollar to me because it will lack content and depth, and hence I am not interested in anyway. That means I have no intention of watching it legally or illegally.

Yes. Exactly like it. This one is comprised of just as much awesome though. (if not much more than previous compilations)dygiT said:Is this one of those animes where different studios make shorts and they're put into compilations like the Animatrix and the Batman one?
OuterWorldVoice said:Dai Sato.
duckroll said:I have to say, you guys have pretty good taste in staff choices so far. Aside from my gripes with Aramaki (sorry, nothing personal against the guy, but I just think he gets involved with generic action stuff in general), there's a pretty good range in the shorts and the stories definitely sound unique enough. Can't wait to here more about the people involved in this.
Edit: Lol, Revelations triple hit combo?
