Seems like a large improvement (100% increase on last set, and 360 had to have shrunk) but i'll let the pro's handle that judgement

Xbox family and LOL shipped.

LOL it's an investor report and they only report shipments like the last 14 years. SMH

Why are they using September cumulative sales data for Xbox and comparing it to June cumulative sales data for Playstation and Wii/WiiU?

That's not Microsoft, that's the OP.

Something just flew way over your head breh

I don't do sarcasm, I've displayed that 3 times today already.

Good or bad?

As a company, the overall numbers are great. For the console, it's good but not great, especially compared to Sony's PS4. Pretty much the opposite of the situation at Sony where the company is a disaster as a whole, but the PS division is doing OK. Gaming isn't a huge money-maker for either company though.

It's good. 2.4M Shipped shows that the stuffed channels from the previous quarter cleared out and orders increased.

Decent sales...I'm really interested to see if the world wide markets take to X1 now that it's out in more places.

Surely a pure focus on NA alone is not enough for MS? They have to stem the tide WW as well

Difficult to make anything meaninful of that stuff, considering the Xbox family stuff and the launch in 28 markets (i.e. potential channel stuffing going on there).
I'm actually surprised that both MS and Sony get away with this. If I was a stockholder, I'd demand them to actually release meaningful data, not this bullshit.

Well, they launched the XB1 in 28 additional countries in September, so quite obviously the shipped figures for Q1 2015 should be way higher than Q4 2014.
That doesn't say much about sales though.

Considering the insanity of last year and their steady improvements since, i feel these are good numbers. I doubt, as an avid gamer, I'll be able to resist the Xbone in 2015. It is just not in the budget this year but I'm sure we'll see some fucking insane bundles for it next Christmas.

Won't be able to pass on Halo 5.

I still think that shipment is low considering the price cut, the removal of Kinect and launching in 28 more countries. They shipped more than 100k to China alone.

We know Xbox One has been lagging behind in the US and we know it is even worse worldwide.

It is good they've cleared inventory though.

is say 6+ ish shipped. and 5-5.5 is sold

No. Was 5m shipped end of March, then 1.1m April - June (about 50/50 given 360's performance last year and the same % drop applied from previous Q.

So 5.5m.

360 was 1.2m last Q, probably in the region of 500 - 700k this year, so 1.7 - 1.9m shipped for XB1.
