EDIT: Updated for 2017!

It's March, and that means it's time to change your profile pictures to your Mii! As in previous years, here's the NeoGAF thread for this year's Mii March!

Mii March has its own website now! Check it out if you'd like: http://miimarch.com

And, like previous years, here's a video explaining what Mii March is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtNrcKldFs4

During Mii March, Nintendo fans are encouraged to change their online profile pictures to their Mii characters for the month. Basically, Mii March is just a fun way for Nintendo fans to join together for a month to show their love for Nintendo, much like many Pokémon fans do in December for Pokémon Profile Picture Month. It's not some kind of promotion or anything, it's just for fun! It's not unlike NeoGAF's own Real Pic January or Fake Pic February.

Now it's even easier to get a good image of your Mii by making a Miifoto with Miitomo, availble as a free download for iOS and Android devices:
App Store: http://apple.co/Miitomo
Google Play: https://goo.gl/osal0h

You can also get an image of your Mii from your Nintendo 3DS/2DS or Wii U via the following instructions:
On Nintendo 3DS or 2DS:
1. Ensure there is an SD Card inserted into the Nintendo 3DS or 2DS before continuing.
2. Select the Mii Maker icon on the HOME Menu, and tap "Open."
3. Tap the "QR Code/Image Options" button.
4. Tap "Save Mii as Image."
5. Select the desired Mii Character, press "OK," and select "Face."

On Wii U:
1. Ensure there is an SD Card inserted into the Wii U before continuing.
2. From the Wii U Menu, select "Mii Maker."
3. Tap "QR Code/Image Options."
4. Tap "Save Mii as Image."
5. Select the desired Mii Character, press "Create," and select "Face."

Once you've saved the image of your Mii to the SD Card, you can copy the image from your SD Card to your computer, or you can upload it directly from your Nintendo 3DS via the Internet Browser (uploading images saved to an SD Card isn't supported on the Wii U Internet Browser).

The easiest way to upload photos from your Nintendo 3DS is to visit Nintendo Image Share (https://i.nintendo.net/) from the Nintendo 3DS Internet Browser, where you can upload photos from your SD Card directly to Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr.

If you'd like, you can even get creative and use an image of your Mii from games that utilize Mii characters, such as Tomodachi Life, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Nintendo Land, Mario Kart 8, and more! You can use an image that you've shared to Miiverse (https://miiverse.nintendo.net/), or you can upload a screenshot from suspended software on Wii U directly to Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr by visiting Nintendo Image Share (https://i.nintendo.net/) from the Wii U Internet Browser.

If you're participating on Facebook, here's an event page that you can invite your friends to, if you'd like, and you can use the hashtag #MiiMarch to spread the word on Twitter and other sites.

Eh, why not? I'll give this a shot. Will take some Smash Bros. Mii Fighter pics once I get home from work.

Well I was too lazy to change mine since last year, so...
Well, that year went by quick. Good thing I still have my avatar ready from last March!
Yay, I'm not the only one! XD I'm always rocking my Mii year round. =P

Ah, yes, you can also take your Mii directly from Miiverse/Nintendo Network or Nintendo Account!

This works great for NeoGAF avatars, but less so for Facebook, Twitter, etc. since the images are low resolution.

Damn, OP, your Mii is the exact same as mine besides the hair color.
Ha, I get this a lot, but I'm sure there are some differences in the details. =P

I'll wait to get my Switch in before I do this. I believe the Switch has more options so I will def want to re-customize. :)

Yup, the Mii Maker on Switch has more color options for hair/eyes/lips/etc., plus more options for glasses. I'm gonna be using one of the new glasses options for sure, and I hope these new options come to Miitomo soon as well! At least the Switch makes it easy to capture and share screenshots, which will be great for Mii March!
