I don't even care about sexual armor, I just hate it when female battle armor has heels. What advantage does heels provide in battle?
it can be used as a weapon

There were very powerful longbows (beyond 100kg) that could easily pierce even the thickest plate armor at long distances, though there were obviously very few archers capable of using such bows. Regular 40kg longbows also theoretically manage to penetrate plate armor at 100m, but the archer needs a ton of luck to hit the right spot at the right angle. Or you need a ton of archers.A myth. Longbows had to be very close to have enough strength to deal with plate armour. At the height of plate mail technology the longbow was pretty much totally ineffective. Even into the Napoleonic era the cuirass was still used by heavy cavalry because musket balls would just bounce off it at range.

And muskets were often less effective against armor (in part due to the shape of the projectile), so that doesn't really prove anything in this context.

here's one.
A few people have touched on it already, but I think the amount of surface protection doesn't necessarily mean most practical. Other factors in armor practicality include
- Weight
- Airflow/ temperature
- Flexibility/ movement
- Amount of protection needed depending on character's role (Form following function)
- And level of technology in the world probably influences all these characteristics
- high-tech: heavier armor, more surface protection, temperature management, thrusters for mobility, etc
- low-tech: armor characteristics will be more dependent on available materials and the wearer's role
And I think boob armor is only impractical if it restricts arm movement ;].

Good pick.I liked Chris Lightfellow in Suikoden 3:
The post you responded to was about FE10, I was talking about 9.If you see my other post, I didn't know she was that useful. I always assumed that she was like Marcus in FE7.
This is real, 16th century combat plate armor:

No, that thing wasn't easy to move in. It also got real hot real fast inside such a tin can, and you couldn't see shit.
While plate armor offered good protection against many conventional weapons, they offered little protection against longbows (huge problem, obviously), and there was special anti armor weaponry like type XV-XVIII swords, Mordäxte, Lucerne hammers or war hammers. A common and highly efficient technique against enemies wearing plate armor was to wrestle them down and simply stab them with a dagger (in the eye slit or some other unarmored part).[/QUOTE]

50 pounds of steel is 50 pounds of steel, but like I said, the weight is distributed all throughout your body rather than principally on the shoulders and waist, and the armor is designed to allow virtually full range of motion.
It's not easy to move around in compared to little or no armor obviously, but knights were nowhere near as hopelessly encumbered as many games like Fire Emblem seem to think they were.

But the two most vital organs are exposed. She wouldn't last long in a fight.
Let's not talk about fucking Nono.
Ever.
I swear if ANYone in this thread knew about nono and her personality they would fucking throw a fit I swear. Her character is just so insanely messed up, and i'm 90% she's getting censored in the english version...
<3 Chris.
Suikoden 3 is so criminally underappreciated.
I forgot about Viola though, she's probably the best (albeit, most cumbersome looking one)

Oh my fuck. What is this from?

That's the classiest Korean MMORPG I have seen.Guild Wars 2 has tons of great ones.
I'll admit it took me 24+ hours, but I FINALLY came up with a good example!:
And it's even from one of my favorite games! That no one has ever played!
That's the classiest Korean MMORPG I have seen.
Shruelia from Ar Tonelico
There's a few other armors from Radiata Stories that aren't exactly terrible too.
...and then there's ones like Alicia.
Korean published but western developed. Huh. Well that explains. Its actually western.
Ahahahahaha what the hell is that? hahahahahaha
She keeps the other half of her organs that don't fit in her belly down there.
I assume she is extremely anime/pandering.Let's not talk about fucking Nono.

And this is a problem becuase....?
Not from RPGs (unless you count tabletop RPGs), but I think these ladies definetly deserve a mention.
Now that you mention it Elwen is an even better example. You never do see her in-game without her helmet on.

I'm playing through the Dawn of War II games, there really needs to be more 40k games. The style is so cool. Starcraft really is a weak ripoff(though they make up for it in spades with the gameplay). :xSo badass, I really like a lot of the WH40k designs.
