All signs point to Sonic Team USA. Yes, the Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic Team USA.

But my hope that I'm holding onto is that this isn't some cheesy yearly cash-in, and most of the old NiGHTS team is at Sonic Team USA, Naka and Ohshima being the major missing parties.

If this is built off of Air NiGHTS (and I'm reasonably sure it must be), then the design work has been going on since about 98, with some actual production work done in 2000-ish for a Dreamcast version, then probably a total restart except for design work about a year and a half to two years ago, when the rumours first started circulating again.

I never played nights, but judging by all the praise it gets it must be something special. I'll keep a close eye on this, but since I didnt play the original and since there's very little info about journey of dreams, its difficult to get that exited yet

The original game was NiGHTS into Dreams.

They wanted, I would suppose, a name that was both evocative of the original but still set the game apart as a new title.

What the christ is wrong with going from "NiGHTS into Dreams" to "NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams?"
