I'm pretty sure I read it has a fan too. So, you know, don't forget to add that in.
There's no fan there. There's no room for a fan looking at the dock pictures.
You slide them into the tablet while docked. I asked the same thing and they showed me the info a couple of pages back. The grip included is not a charging grip unfortunately.
What? You want a HDMI port on a tablet that's also supposed to also function as a charging method? Now who's getting expensive?
How can you defend the existence of the dock? We didn't know what it was prior to this presentation. Now we know it's $90 of useless aesthetics.I disagree. No one had a problem with the Switch's premise/functionality until the price was revealed. Now we're talking about eliminating what makes it a Switch because of pricing.
lmaoStole this from Twitter
ARMS at home multiplayer experience is gonna cost you $220 plus fax
There is nothing wrong with the battery life of the Wii U Pro controller.
Wii U Pro controller doesn't have rumble though, right?Oh, I'm aware - it's my secondary PC gamepad at the moment.
If Switch Pro has 100+ hours, I might consider getting it, just for better face button placement (and analog triggers, if it even has them).
I doubt it.Not been able to read everything on the switch so apologies if it's already been answered, but have they confirmed anywhere if Wii u pro controllers will be compatible? That's kind of a buy or pass situation for me, not willing to fork out for 3 new controllers again so soon.

Because this does, along with motion controls and some other things the Wii U Pro controller doesn't, which will likely impact the battery life.

Not to mention that multiplayer party games have been focused on 1/2 button controls lately. Cheap, disposal Joy Cons would have suited the angle they're going for really well, which is why everyone thought that's the route they were going to go.Pricey. Seems a bit at odds with the multiplayer message that seemed to be the focus. This is potentially going to be a bit of a barrier to that?
That's not how what works? I understand why the peripherals are priced how they are: Nintendo wants a functional, competitive price point for the Switch at $300, but also wants the highest margins it can possibly get away with for separate peripherals. They're pushing the limits of what gamers will stomach, but they're apparently willing to give it a shot. Maybe signaled to some degree by the success of the $150 Xbox Elite controller, though I don't agree with that assessment if so.
The standalone prices for each peripheral just don't make any sense when surveying what's included in the $300 bundle. People on a budget who are interested in the peripherals will be looking at grabbing a second $300 bundle and then heading to eBay to resell anything extraneous.
I can't think of a major console release where that has ever been a serious consideration until now.
Pro Controller Price is inexcusable, but I think the fact that it comes with "two Joycons" in the box technically goes a long way towards mitigating the $80 for two more
They're neat little things but what the fuck?
So if you want to play that Arms game 2 player you'll need to pay $160 + the game. Nevermind. They only cost $10 more than a Wiimote did. Dock is still ridiculous.
Honest question. Why buy a pro controller? Split hands is super comfortable. You've got the grip if you want to use it...
Why buy that thing for $70 for something that's less functional?

It has a D-Pad.
So basically having a good d-pad costs $70. Otherwise I don't see the point of the Pro here as it's essentially identical to the basic Joy-Con when in cradle, unlike on Wii/Wii U where the Pro was a nice traditional alternative to their unique controllers.
Anyone know when or if the pro controller is up for order? I'm not seeing it.
K just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it.I haven't been able to find it anywhere yet either.
Is the pro controller not up for order?
Is the pro controller up for order? Don't see it at Gamestop

This is the company that sells 3DS handhelds in the UK without an AC adapter (which uses a proprietary connection instead of something ubiquitous like microUSB) or other charging method included in the box, because "people probably already have one from our past handhelds".I have to say this is cheeky asking to pay another £28 for what should be in the box.
