So I was just buying flow on the PSN store, and my wallet didn't have enough. When adding funds, I had the option to do it from a credit card or... A PLAYSTATION CARD!? What? I've never heard of this, and doing a search on gaf shows that they're still not out. Has there been any news since then? Will this finally allow buying from the JPN store? I want those Ridge Racer 7 tracks dammit.

I am trying to get my music from itunes to my ps3. The way I did it was first burn the music to a cd, then imported it to my ps3. The problem was that I could not get the songinformation. Is it possible to edit this on my ps3? I then imported the music to a memorystick and put it in my pc, and edited the songinformation manually (a lot of work). Put my memorystick back in my ps3, and the songinformation did not show up. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Please help!
Which format did you import them on the PS3 and what program did you use to edit the information in on the PC? if it was AAC and you used itunes, it could be that itunes and PS3 have the tag stored in a different place (if I'm not mistaken, for AAC files stored into an mp4/m4a container you can store the tag info either at the start or at the end of the file). I say this because I've had no problem importing MP3s, the PS3 recognizes all the tags (but then again I don't use itunes anymore for anything, all I do is through foobar2k)
And, to import songs from itunes I'd go the Jhymn (or whatever is the methos that works now, as there's one I'm sure) route, which is what I did for my itunes library, took out the DRM crap off of the files so I can play them on whatever device i choose to, without the quality degradation that burning to a CD and reripping would ensue.
Also! You can edit the info on the PS3 if you so wish, altho it is a bit annoying if you don't have a keyboard. Simply choose the song you want to edit, hit triangle and choose information. There choose the tag you want to edit and type in what you need.
The downside is that you can't edit multiple items at a time.

Thank you for your input. I now edit the songs manually on my ps3.The strange thing is that the main folder for my album (I took a playlist from itunes and ripped it) is called "Others", and it is not possible to edit the name ofthat folder, only the songs in it on the ps3. And when I rename a song it moves from the "others" album to one of its own.
Not sure if it's been mentioned (and it really didn't warrant a new thread) but in case anyone bought their PAL machine from Gamestation at £425 - if you go into the shop with your receipt they'll give you £25 back as they're now selling it at £400.

Lame question, uh, I just bought a 128MB Pro Duo memory stick to backup my PS3 saves and I'm wondering if I can leave it in the PS3...? Don't laugh. I mean is it possible some error might screw up both the hard drive and whatever other storage devices I have connected, like the memory stick?
On a related note, these things are cheap. When I get a PSP I'll pick up a 4GB one, though I'm not sure what to use it for. :lol

anybody playing bluray movies through a Dobly digital receiver?
i got casino royale today. When i press select while the movie plays it says its outputting 5.1 sound.
But my receiver only gets PCM 2.0 from the movie.
games play 5.1 no problem. wtf

I got mine yesterday. Now I only need a HDTV so I can see the movie, my SDTV doesn't do 60Hz (it appears in black & white).
I got my THIRD copy of Casino Royale in the post today. I'm wondering if this is some nefarious plot by Sony to boost their Blu Ray shipments, or whether it shows that I'm on more than one list which is eligible for this title.
I got two copies last week which may be accounted for by pre-registering my ID on PSN and for using another registration for my PS3. I was paranoid about using the pre-registered one in case it didn't work. But their 3rd one? I have no idea. I am registered for my PSP and did sign up for PS3 emails, so maybe one of those.
Perhaps Sony are carpet bombing anyone who showed interest in a PS3 with a free BD to increase the chances that they'll buy one.
Or perhaps they just haven't mastered the DISTINCT keyword in SQL when they're printing off the addresses more than once. Either way, I think I'll be opening my own store soon.

some people in Belgium received their Casino royales in 2 different versions
one is with french and dutch subs (which is correct) others received their movie copies with turkish, hebrew, polish etc audio and subs...

I've set up an US and japanese PSN accounts. Works pretty well (except that I got dc'ed on the final step on JP PSN, got to type all over again <_<)
I've dl'ed the HSG5 demo, this game is really cute :3 DL speeds are correct too.
DL'ing the DJ:Icon demo right now.
US PSN has tons of trailers compared to the EU one, that's unfair :/
Ok the DJ:icon demo is like f'ed up. After launching the game i got a "corrupted data" message and it froze my PS3 when I wanted to quit it (with the PS button).

I'd like to know if the PS3 spots Bruce and Hotdog&Lucia show as unsupported data for anyone else, as they do for me after downloading them from the italian PSN still to this day.
Before checking information wouldn't show anything about audio/video on them, but now it shows audio info (AAC 128kbps) but no video information, and I'm thinking they re-encoded them, but still encoded them with H264 High profile instead of main profile, but since my USB HDD is in NTFS and I don't feel like converting it to FAT32 right now, I can't copy the video off the PS3 to check it on my PC.
So, anyone able to check that?
