Are the memory card readers available in stores?
When i bought my PS3 I was told only the SixAxis and the BR remote were available as accessories (not even PS3 cables were available) and that stuff like the memory card reader would be available the week after, but I haven't been able to find it yet.
Do I need to resort to import it?

From what I gathered he only did the registration via the online EU PSN account pre-registration site (nothing else). All he did was log in to his UK PSN account on his import PS3 when the service launched and seemingly that was enough for him to qualify for the free copy of Casino Royale. There's reports from people on UK forums (NTSC-UK and Eurogamer) who did exactly the same thing and they also received confirmation e-mails.

I've seen cables, controllers, the BR remote, and even an adapter for PS2 controllers. But no mem card adapter, yeah :/

Yay, just checked the e-mail account, recieved the confirmation on thursday last week! They say they are going to deliver it within 45 days!

Does anyone know if the EU version of Dark Kingdom (I know I know, it isn't a good game, but the videos on the US store made me interested) will have any difference from the US one? Cause I can import it online for about 45€ when shipping costs are added in (compared to the 61€ for the EU version from play.com) and I want to check it out.

Plenty of people have bought it, but the spread of the user base, Race Mode being a secondary mode, and the nature of the lobby mean unfortunately coming across another user playing online is slim.

The best way to hook up with other players is to host a room yourself, or invite people from your friends list.

Yeah, some of the guys at the office have been playing that online (we got our retail PS3 this week).

I don't think anyone has even managed to finish a race before running out of time yet, much less getting into a winning position :/

SOE didn't want to put one up. They took down the one on the US Store as well.

Think its still up on the HK Store though.

SOE sucks, as usual.
GripShift rocks and the price on the EU store is cheap (for the time being), but more exposure through a demo would be even better.

Exploiting the game more like, yeah you can say cheating. Last night my bro was racing Motorstorm online, leading on his motorcycle.. And out of no where this frigging rally car comes boosting by, no flames from the exhaust pipe so he wasn’t boosting legitimately. I was aware of the exploit of boost so I knew what he was doing. He zoomed by and we never saw him again. Focker. :( My bro ended up 2nd.

You have no chance winning online if you dont "pump the boost button". I dont like to play that way, it feels so cheap. I hope they fix it soon.

I think the special offer on the price lasts until May at least.

As for sales, its actually doing pretty well at the moment in Europe (better than when we launched in the US anyway). Hopefully it holds at the current sales rate for a while.

no - but its dubbed in various foreign speeches like german

I don't really like Motorstorm online. The online mode pales in comparison with Resistance.
The racing is fun, but your stats will only improve if you ended the race as no.1.
I've finished a race a couple of times being 2nd or 3rd, but it still counts as a lose (only won once after 10 races).

I really think that the ranking should work as in Resistance. If you win a race, being 1st, 2nd or 3rd it should give you points > 50pts, 30pts, 10pts. With those points you level up from zero to hero, legend etc.

Also if you reach a certain status, it should give you some special decals and/or upgrade kits, like spoilers, exhausts, bumpers etc. to put on your car/bike etc. just like in Resistance, you get binoculars, grenade pouches and so on to decorate your character.

Yeah, exactly what I thought, even if an FPS can't really be compared to a racing game tho. It still have hope that they're going to improve the game a lot.

During a race, the game feels absolutely polished and amazing, but all the other parts of the game feel incomplete and rushed.

I still have great fun playing it, no doubt.

I did the psn euro online registration back then, signed in at launch (import us ps3) and got the bond mail a few days ago.

I love free stuff :D

In other news, I feel bad about having bought Enchanted Arms.
69.99€ and the game is in English (and in the back they call it Special Edition, ha ha ha...)... Ubisoft sucks mighty dicks.
If it wasn't that the store got it back in for me, I'd have left it there.

both console versions have japanese audio in the game as an option btw, and the game isn't too bad while we all wait for other rpg's in the future.

Yeah i know about that, what I was complaining about is: the text in game is only in English for a 69.90€ game (Resistance has both text and audio in Italian... Insomniac I love you!).
Text should have at least been translated to Italian/Spanish (as those are the 2 languages the manual has been translated in) instead of the cheap way Ubisoft took.
And I have only played 5 minutes (I had Lost to watch) but I've liked that little I've seen.

yeah still waiting for the mail as well, registered as soon as it was possible, since the registration process wasn't open until midnight UK-time. But I guess I won't get the mail, though I know I should have gotten it and I did exactly the same as a friend who registered the next day and DID get an e-mail.

Sony blah. I'll pick up a copy when the price drops in store.

Got my email confirmation finally!
Which is good news.
The bad news (for me) instead is when they'll be sending the movie:
The email says it will be sent within 45 days of when the movie will be officialy released in Italy, and that is on the 22th of May. :lol

At least they are still sending the emails, still waiting on mine and I registered around 2pm on the 23rd. Maybe it takes longer if you have multiple accounts?

To those who didn't receive an e-mail, did you activate/register your PS3 itself ?

1. power on PS3, go to XMB
2. go to your friends list, to your own nickname
3. press triangle, choose "Account Management" (or the equivalent in your language)
4. go to the account settings
5. then go to activate system

Yep, did all of that on midnight/launch day. Still haven't gotten the e-mail.

yup , same here. i even received a reminder email from sony to help activate my ps3 to receive my free bluray movie..

well thanx but no thanx, still no email :(

I finally broke down yesterday and bought one.

My better half was insanely furious.
