Jack is really dumb, but unfortunately he has no one there to talk him out of his bad ideas. His crew members are just glorified hype men.
That panel of Ginrummy in chapter 821 makes me think she'll be saving Jack's ass. Thinking Sheepshead is down for the count now, though. Dude had a rough couple of days.
Yeah makes me think Kaido is probably the only person who keeps him under control.
Bet he probably has the same type of relationship that Zoro and Sanji have with the other calamities.

Yeah I wondered about that panel, but it seems as though she's shocked at his statements about torturing Zou. Oda keeps focusing on her, so this seems likely.
Would love to see the fallout if he returns to Wano, because like someone in here posted, Jack hasn't accomplished jack shit for all of his recent efforts. Kaido gonna be mad!
so who do you think weeble finds first? luffy or marco? i kinda want weeble to follow luffy to whole cake island and cause some huge uproar there. maybe his mom works for big mom and big mom forces luffy to fight weeble for entertainment. maybe he doesn't even chase luffy there and weebles mom is invited to the wedding and brings weeble with her. of course after luffy gets caught weeble goes after him.

Since this arc is pretty much over, except for the party, I'll just chime in my bit.
I didn't like it, despite initially thinking I would, for reasons that are mostly repetitious of OP's traditional writing techniques which I don't see a need to repeat. I occasionally lurked in this thread to see what other user's responses were, and I think it show how OP simply doesn't cater to my tastes that what a lot of people praised as awesome, I found really lame. The characters don't feel believable in how they behave (the whole Mink hiding Raizou thing), I loath Raizou's character design (and yes, I know thatsthejoke.jpg), I was disappointed how the Red Polygraph turned out to be nothing but a exposition mechanic (I was hoping it'd reveal something about the void century. Even a little information would be nice).
And while they didn't get to do as much as I'd like in Dressrosa, my favorite characters of Usopp, Zoro, and Robin were the ones who remained in that arc, and now it looks like we're getting Nami, Chopper, and Brook to go rescue Sanji along with Luffy. So, the only straw hats I like even a little are out of the game and I'm just left with...these guys. Great.
And now, it's even suggested that either Kidd got crushed by Kaido and Apoo joined him, or the Kidd-Hawkins-Apoo allience joined with Kaido as a whole. Which if so, is really, really lame because you know how much I like Kidd (not as much as you think, really, but the pool of OP characters I like is slim pickings and he's the closest I find to being likable). I can get the rest of the Supernova's doing their own thing, but Law, Luffy and Kidd were the ones who were established as vying to become Pirate Kings under no one's rule but their own. So Luffy and Law are doing their own thing, but if Kidd's ambitions just got wrecked after being built up, I'm gonna be sad. Kidd makes a good rival to Luffy, I would rather he remain independent or else in an alliance, but not under any Yonko. He can't serve as a real rival to luffy if he's under someone, or else just had his ambitions ruined by Kaido. My hope is that they're about to pull some coup d'etat or some shit.
The only think I like that I'm taking away from this arc is Zou itself, but that's just because I like the concept of giant, living, ancient weapons, and Zou provides that.

I honestly feel bad for you Veelk. Like maybe you shouldn't be reading One Piece? It's like when I used to torture myself with Sonic games or the Pokemon anime. What you want just isn't there.

Oda doesn't give you a slow trickle of info. He drops bombs. We'll find out about the void century at Raftel
That first point has been asked before and the answer is the same. What I enjoy is secondary to what I can learn from stories. I don't need to enjoy a story to find it worth reading. It's as simple as that.
Besides, for every series I don't like, there are two dozen that I do. I read the new chapter and go back to playing bloodborne or reading the new Fairyland or Shadow Ops book, watch an episode of better call Saul, read the new Attack On Titan if it's there, and so on.It's not like I'm wallowing in my own misery by taking 5 minutes a week to keep up on OP. It's not even like how it was when I was rereading the series, where arcs would take hours to complete. It's just a few minutes and done.
As for the other stuff, I have my counter points to that. But I'm done having debates about OP, atleast for the while, since their generally the same points repeated. If I can find something new to talk about or something old in a new way, then I'll being that in. I just wanted to throw in my two cents on this arc.
Oda does both, I'm pretty sure, especially in his art. But I'm just saying it's one of the few things I'm genuinely interested in about his world, so when it looked like we were getting something like it, I got excited.

I'm betting Jack was reaching Zou because either one of the minks was a traitor or because he secretly had a vivre card on them without their knowledge. And I'm willing to bet that whichever mink it is, they'll be one of the ones to go with Luffy to Big Mom's island (based on the color spread, it's either Carrot or Pedro...). That way Jack will next crash Big Mom's tea party/wedding, which is totally something he would do.

That would be interesting and a reason Luffy and Big Mom don't get to fight yet or maybe Luffy even gets saved by Jack randomly crashing in and fucking everyone's shit up. Him being a high ranking guy of Kaidou essentially being a declaration of war and starting the big conflict between the two Emporers. Imagine him poison bombing Big Mom's entire food stash.

Nothing weird it's poetic justice! The first attack Jack threw out at the Mink's was a giant swing of his trunk. The first attack that Zunisha through out at Jack was a giant swing of it's trunk. What comes around goes around!

So my friend and I just had an interesting discussion. What if Apoo (and maybe Hawkins) were already aligned with Kaido from the start?
If Jack and Apoo had a pre-existing line of communication, then that would been that Apoo would have already been in touch with Jack before he attacked Zou. As we know, Jack was on Zou several days prior to Luffy beating Doflamingo and before the time-skip even began. Therefore, Apoo would have had a line of communication with Jack before his meeting with Kid and Hawkins.
Also, if you think about Hawkins and his probability/fortune-telling voodoo bullshit, maybe that's how Jack was able to locate Zou consistently, making him an accomplice. If you think about it, how did Jack figure out where Doflamingo was post-dresrossa? He always seems to know where to go.
There are several holes in this, which make me skeptical. You could argue that Jack learned about Apoo/Hawkins/Kid after he left Zou from Kaido, since it was a certain amount of days to get from Zou->Doflamingo's escort. Also, Jack could just be using Vivre Cards and has some for people on Zou and Doflamingo himself. Finally, I'm not sure what the point of Apoo and Hawkins trying to form an alliance with Kid would be if they were already with Kaido.
That all being said, if Kid is being held prisoner atm on Wano as opposed to being killed then there may be something going on here we don't know of. The only other connection I can think of is Kid attacking Scotch (underling of Kaido) near the beginning of the time-skip.
