Just started with Lost Odyssey yesterday after finishing Blue Dragon (which is a very decent and fun little RPG) and really like it for the first couple of hours.

I really appreciate and enjoy the Mist Walker games, so it's good to see LO holding out there. I didn't expect that at all.

Why? LO looks much more like FF than Blue Dragon does.

Not only looks more like FF, but it's, in my opinion, actually better than a lot of the FF games so it's fantastic to see it do so well.

I'm still stunned by the sales to be honest. I didn't expect this at all. Microsoft should most definitely be going back to Mistwalker for future games now. I think this could be one of the stronger performances from a 360 title across most of Europe.

I doubt that people importing from i.e USA makes a huge difference in these charts (i guess that is what you were lol'ing at?), but in all fairness buying from outside of Europe right now can be quite abit cheaper, atleast where i live. To take a quick example:

Uncharted for PS3 at www.videogamesplus.ca costs $59.99CND + $7.49CND in shipping = $67.48CND. The cheapest i can find in my country when bought on the internet (atleast from the quick price check i did, maybe some place has it cheaper, but i guess its not more than a few dollars if its the case) is about $109.4CND including shipping. That is about $41.92CND cheaper.

Of course, then it depends on the import limit to the country. You might end up paying taxes etc. so it might not really be worth it, but if the games is under the import limit or if it goes through customs anyway you can save some money from buying outside of Europe, atleast where i live

That & Resistance are the only 2 games selling over 300,000 (Platinum awards on ELSPA) so far. Done well to pass 300 last month AND then beat resistance, guess that stopped just over 300k then (350-400 max).

First weekend & then full week of GTA IV sales will beat both though.


Wii has 6 in that category (not incl. sports) but X360 leads with 8.

Overall it's looking like the PS3 & X360 viable platforms for 3rd party games to rack up sales when targeted at gun happy teens & Football fans!
