PAL Charts - Week 10, 2017

I wouldn't say that about Horizon's drop. A typical drop for a midweek release, an SP only game especially, would be in the 80's, so it only dropping 60% is a fantastic hold.

Well, low 70's is the average on a Tuesday release. Still, only a day less and 10% less of a drop is pretty good.

I was going to say that I was hoping Nier would chart higher, then I realize that this chart only tracks March 5-11, doesn't it? Nier only had 2 days of being sold then, which sounds pretty good.

Speechless

Amazing comparison lol

Would love to get some worldwide numbers on Horizon. It has to be well over a million by now and still going strong.

I really don't like Ubisoft...

So far the year has had a much stronger start than last year in terms of big profile performers, we can't say there have been a title that has under-performed although it would have been nice if Resident Evil 7: Biohazard had sold a bit more.

Will Mass Effect: Andromeda be the first game to break the positive streak? Mass Effect 3 sold about 156,000 units back in March 2012.

Last year the only notable 1Q releases were Far Cry Primal (70,000) and Tom Clancy's The Division (277,000).

PS4 owners spending less (buying less games) or having too many games to buy from? Nier, Nioh, Horizon ??
PS4 tops overall revenue charts from what I've seen to it's not the former. Probably a mix of having large exclusives launch (ZD most recently). Also MP centric titles I believe have closer split to PS4/XB1 anyway.

So no no gloom for PS4 yet!

Wow that GR split is closer Then thought it would be.
Probably because of a lack of big releases on Xbox IMO
I had no clue ghost recon would outsell for honor that's pretty crazy, I felt like for honor had a lot more clout but I guess this follows the open beta numbers hopefully there are still some people playing in a few months when I pick it up.
Do we have an estimate on numbers ? It was bigger than horizon but smaller than the division so >? 103k (nms) and < 255000
Nice for nier as well, not quite Nioh trajectory (unless my mind failed me) but still strong opening
Decent legs for horizon
Edit forgot how much the division sold actually I need to check horizons numbers bc I think it sold 200k

This week feels really odd with how the budget releases of LEGO and GTAV are up quite high. What I mean is just compare the all formats, individual formats and individual formats (value). They jump all over the place.

Wow that botw split is closer Then thought it would be.
I think the Wii U version is going to be a bit high for that week because of the Amazon stock issues (many people who preordered the Wii U version did not have it dispatched until 4 days after release and since many of these orders were below the £40 mark ponying up £60 at GAME was not appealing...in amazon got so many complaints about this order they had to automatically give all affected orders £5 credit).

How was the split for The Divison? I would think it would be more telling in how Ghost Recon would have fared if no competition in a meaty & anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn and somewhat For Honor/Nier/Nioh/Persona/GR2/RE7.

Great (Long)legs for Horizon.

It wasn't that much more different.

Surprised that Zelda stayed so high considering stocking issues of the switch and the game. Fantastic game though, so very much deserved.

Shocked that Zelda is still so high up, its still pretty much sold out everywhere in the UK other than a few places asking full RRP for it.

BotW is also available on the WiiU and not everyone who has a WiiU bought a switch yet.

I think ME:Andromeda can beat ME3, especially if reviews are good

Ubisoft is a beast studio, all their IP's are selling great, it's a shame their gameplay is so bad because I love the diversity they have in IP's, settings, gender/race heroes etc... it's way better than any other studios.

Good hold for Horizon which is the best adventure game of the year so far.

Because PS4 owners have so many games in first three months to buy.
What do you think?

PS4 owners definitely have more good recently released games to choose from.

Yeah, many friends would have bought it but it was tough with Nioh and Horizon exclusives around.

As shown by Bruno in other thread that jump in PS4 (11.3%) software in first two months is quite similar to jump in XBO (9.9%) software sales.

Rather jump in XBO (9%) software jump in February is bigger than the software jump in PS4 (6.8%)

February is without Horizon, the by far biggest PS4 exclusive performer this year so far.

I'm really surprised Wildlands is the biggest debut of the year.

I haven't heard anybody talking about it. There hasn't even been any hype for it on Facebook like there was for Horizon and Zelda.
The game's pitch is "4 player co-op military GTA" if that helps.

It's an incredibly good pitch for the mass market gamer.

Great hold on Horizon. Was a big debut so word of mouth will be helping with its legs at least this week. Surprised at Wildlands big debut.

Switch launch in France : 105k
Zelda totals : 130k including 96k Switch version

So Horizon sold more than 96k in its first week, that's really good
