Sounds like 3&4 are more up your alley. They're the best of the bunch anyway imo.

Go with FES for Persona 3 and Golden for Persona 4. If you don't have a Vita obviously go with vanilla P4. If anyone tells you to get P3P instead ignore them.

I found that Persona 1 has actually aged worse than most of the games you listed. The clunky battle system didn't help matters, especially when there is a really high encounter rate. There are a lot of great ideas in that game, but for me it became hard to appreciate them with the rest of the game.

But yeah I'd start with Persona 4. It's an entertaining entry point.

Yeah. Mileage may Vary, especially since my playthrough was very non-standard (Snow Queen + Max Ambrosia).
