Planning a trip to Vegas. Advice?

They renovated the common areas at The Quad-I don't think they've gotten to the rooms yet.

I was just there last weekend, and spent the entire weekend downtown. Stayed at the El Cortez Cabana Suites, which are nice. Close enough to Fremont to walk, but far enough away that it's quiet at night. The back side is right near some sketchy areas, though.

Lots of really great bars in East Fremont. Checked out Commonwealth, which just opened recently-it has a great rooftop deck that I imagine will be quite popular (and packed) come summer. The Griffin is one of my usual favorite places, Insert Coins is a blast at night, and there's a bunch of new bars opening up this spring. For my money, I might enjoy spending more time downtown than on the Strip at this point.

I'm going again for March Madness in a couple of weeks, then again for my brother in-laws birthday in May. Might try and sneak a trip out there to catch the new MJ Cirque show which opens in late May as well.

I stayed at the El Cortez when I was there early last month, right above the casino floor (stairs only to the 2nd floor--whatever; cheap). Commonwealth is ok. I always go to The Griffin whenever I'm in Vegas, along with Insert Coins. This past time is the first time I stayed on FSE exclusively, and enjoyed every minute of it. Everything is cheaper, and readily accessible.

Bumping this as me and the wife will be back again in Vegas right after Xmas. Where can I go to find some deals on activities for our stay?

BTW, thanks to my grinding on myVegas for the past year I'm close to have enough pts for 2 free nights at Aria.

XS and Light are by far my favorite clubs there, with XS definitely taking the top spot. Marquee has good DJs but alot of them are ditching it + it's super super crammed to the point where you probably won't be at the dance floor by 1AM. Hakkasan is just kinda...eh. Not great but not horrible.

Bacchanal Buffet is ridiculously good but it's a bit pricey, I'd say Rio is still the best deal as far as price to quality is involved. If you want to spend a little extra though, go for Bacchanal.

To continue the bumping trend, myself and some friends are going to Vegas in February. Any advice for some broke ass college kids?
When I was in my early 20s we used to split a room between 4 people. Don't know the current prices, but Imperial Palace used to be my go to hotel. Extremely cheap rooms, located on center strip, and cheap tables.

Hakkasan is cool because you can go to the Ling Ling Room and listen to a Hip Hop DJ...and then go upstairs to the main dance floor for all your EDM needs.

The 2-Bedroom Suites at Hilton Elara (Formerly Planet Hollywood Towers) are great for a group of 7-8 people. Two King beds, 2 sofa beds and a lounge chair thing for people to sleep on. Two bathrooms too. Directly connected to Planet Hollywood shops.

clubs that are pretty awesome are XS, Tyrst, Marquee, Hakkasan, Stay at Cosmopolitan, Encore, or Palms for the youngest crowds or even Planet. I like gambling at total rewards casinos, Ceasers, Paris, Planet, etc they all are connected. and i always get compt every time i go, free room at any total rewards place free food and free money to play with. its the best since they have the most casinos connected to the same total rewards card.
