Good work. I find it amusing.
I have done this:
Here... it's just Nintendo fanboys (sorry) attacking Sony because they tried to replicate their Smash Bros. formula with this game, and it won't be that special anymore.
Tottally agree with you on this. they should be asking us what do we want to see and suprise us and how it will work out not just throwing random together and hoping we will like it.
edit: they also need have characters or stages that appeal to people overseas
One thing that's worrying is the music. Music is a big part of Smash Bros. and a big part of what makes Nintendo games memorable, but Sony has never been nearly as good at producing memorable themes for their games.
Excellent match up there. Guess we'll definitely be getting some ICO something.
Any idea what those other blurry images in that pick match with?
Ico, SOTC, God of War, Uncharted etc all say hi.

I honestly haven't seen any of that in this thread. Maybe I'm not paying attention.
Your argument is also invalidated by the amount of Smash Bros clones, for lack of a better term, that already exists.
With music they are combining 2 songs and remixing it.One thing that's worrying is the music. Music is a big part of Smash Bros. and a big part of what makes Nintendo games memorable, but Sony has never been nearly as good at producing memorable themes for their games.
They are all officially released screenshots from Ico back in PS2 time, I recognized three of them instantly. I shudder at the thought, but that could be Yorda's model right there, before they put individually animated dress on her...Those look like fields from Ico.

Yes, probably Nariko.
Wait a minute...
Maybe Yorda as well?

Good work dude; that's gotta pretty much confirm in some way that ICO is involved. I can't see Yorda being a combatant, so maybe she's involved with one of Ico's super moves, or appears in the background of the castle stage (assuming it exists). It's a good sign of things to come anyhow.

Ok SuperBot's website is freaking awesome http://www.superbotentertainment.com/
For the love of everything that is holy can they be the first game to finally have every character unlocked from the beginning so people don't need to pay 4,000 hours of single player first before playing with their friends?

Hmmm, I'm seeing more Nariko in that model than Yorda.
Seriously? Look at the first... what... 4 or 5 pages and you'll find at least 10 per page.
This is debatable, but the fact is, only Nintendo's Smash series have become a success. No other series has been significative.

Yorda appears, Ico grabs her hand and starts bashing everyone with her.

And this game might be significative enough to guarantee a sequel. I dunno.
MAH GUITAR IS IN MAH MIND, BITCHES!
It has all my favourite Microsoft characters!I have done this:
Looks interesting and I'm likely to buy this, but I can't help but think that this is going to flop horribly.
Maybe it's just lacking the ghostly effect that Yorda has?

Honestly, if MS hadn't totally gutted Rare, I would totally dig an all Rare crossover fighter. After all, Rare's always been pretty good at copying Nintendo with their own spin; see Donkey Kong Country, Diddy Kong Racing, and Banjo-Kazooie. Take Rare's diverse portfolio - Banjo, Conker, Kameo, Perfect Dark, Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Viva Pinata, Sabrewulf, hell, throw in Mr. Pants as a joke character - add Master Chief and Marcus Fenix, and you've got yourself a game.

I implied that only a single game is relevant. And it is Super Smash Bros. Period. Don't read any more than that in my statement.Power Stone, select Naruto fighters on the PS2,Battle Arena DON, and Jump All Stars (although the later 2 hasn't been released in america) all had some degree of success and a big fan following. This has nothing to do with your initial statement though; you implied games like this have not existed and they clearly do.
I wonder whether they'll be able to create a better single-player mode than Brawl had, but that should not be too hard to achieve.
Still, the greatest appeal of Brawl was the use of various well-known Nintendo characters/licenses. Sony doesn't stand a chance against that, obviously.
Why are people continuously acting like the PlayStation brand doesn't have well known characters?I wonder whether they'll be able to create a better single-player mode than Brawl had, but that should not be too hard to achieve.
