If this used SD cards I'd be all over it. But there is no way I'm paying for a bunch of Sony Memory cards. Fuck them.
Here is the real price of the Playstation TV in the UK (Everything you need to get going):
1. PS TV - £85
2. Dualshock 4 - £40
3. 64GB Memory Card - £80
= £205 ($329)
You can buy a 500GB PS3 for less.....

Didn't Xseed comment that a patch may not happen for some reason? Something to do with Falcom. But Falcom had to release a patch, I don't know if XSEED has done so yet.
The cards are no longer expensive, if you wanted one then you would get one.
£80 for 64GB is way too fucking expensve. I don't care how you spin it.
As long as the price is stupid, people will keep bringing it up. Being content is how people get away with this crap.
No fees.
The only drawback is of course latency and 720p output.

I swear I remember it being mentioned not long back.

£54 is that a better price?
Oh joy, the forums get to hear the same arguments rehashed for a new machine. The cards are no longer expensive, if you wanted one then you would get one. Clearly you don't.
Yeah you can, what you can't do with that PS3 is remote play to a PS4 anywhere in the world, with this I can have it setup at my partners flat and play on my PS4 anytime that I want to.
a 16GB card is more than enough space.
Fair enough, might be thinking of something else.Last comment is that they're looking into it.
LOL yeah, it would go well with the worldwide postage and import fees.

So I don't own a vita (yet).
But I do have some vita games on my PSN because of PSPLUS and sales.
Do I need a vita memory card to save my progress or CAN games be saved on the PS TV?
Actually NY mark down everything, so no customs fees. Cheap postage probably wouldn't be more than £4-5 on that.

Bullshit.
You don't need a 64GB memory card OR to buy a Dualshock 4. There's a perfectly functional bundle with an 8Gb memory card and if you need another, a 16GB card is more than enough space.

£2 for airmail and they mark down the packages so no import fees. Next complaint?
DLNA is the single feature that will make me get one. It would be so awesome to have such a small portable device as a media player.
Some actual codec/container compatibility would also be nice but I think I'm asking for too much here.

Damn it, if I'd known that Asian consoles would now allow US/UK sign-ins I would've bought a white one when I was in Asia over the summer

I can use my UK account on my Japanese Vita TV now(Have been able to since whenever 3.30 came out, sometime middle of last week). The only thing I can't do is access the PSN store. I'd imagine thats because the Playstation TV store doesn't exist until the release date here. It's not the end of the world either if you own a vita, can just download everything you need on your vita and pop the memory card back in your TV.Really? Where's the source on this?
I'll be grabbing this on launch.
Was happy to see every title I still need to play is supported.
So it will be fun to play on the go and then on the TV.
Will possibly pick one up around launch if I can find a good deal.
What are the chances of this ever supporting an external hard drive?
Sorry, but I get charged a lot when importing. So you can argue all you want. I am not importing memory cards from the other side of the world.
Even then, £56 for 64GB is still a joke in this day and age (£25 for the same size SD card LOL). The only reason Sony get away with it is because people like you will just pay whatever they ask.
I will let it go now. But I just wanted to make it clear how much it bothers me (And should bother you too)

Depending on the country, it doesn't matter. I imported one OG 3DS once, I really paid $130 for it, but customs charged me taxes regarding the "real" price of $250.
I think it is great for kids. Even a small memory card can fit dozens of PSOne, psp, and vita indies. The use case for hard-core gamers is limited though.

I'm I able to use my DualShock4 with it ?
Depends on how many games you want
(Also, I need a DS4, as DS3's give me hand ache)
The point is that if Sony didn't force their proprietary memory cards on us then we could pick up a 64gb SD card for 1/3rd the price. That's pretty significant. And, I'm sorry but "buy a smaller card" doesn't cut it. An 8gb or 16gb card is about as useful as a square wheel.
