I guess it's safe to say that Denuvo is done for good now, and good riddance! Tekken 7 went down even faster than Resident Evil 7 if I'm not mistaken. Denuvo is not anti-piracy but plain simple anti-consumer at this point.

I don't get it. Why is safe to say they are done?
Not only have this continued the streak of their games being busted early, but they are about to get sued AND in one case it has been proven their DRM worsens game preformance.
lolThis should teach them to not mess with consumers with anti consumers tactics that only harm consumers in the end.
I wonder which one of your family members Denuvo has killed.I guess it's safe to say that Denuvo is done for good now, and good riddance! Tekken 7 went down even faster than Resident Evil 7 if I'm not mistaken. Denuvo is not anti-piracy but plain simple anti-consumer at this point.

Isn't this the half decent one which removes itself after 6 months anyway? I don't really want to see a revival of of piracy to be honest
How exactly does piracy affect the paying consumer? Or the developers and publishers either? People who pirate games would in most cases never buy them anyway. Either because they can't, or simply don't want to.Isn't this the half decent one which removes itself after 6 months anyway? I don't really want to see a revival of of piracy to be honest
So only one case of a performance hit and a rumored lawsuit are enough to say they're done?
It was in one game only so far.It hasn't been proven.
Have I missed something? I've been out of the loop regarding Denuvo I guess. What's anti-consumer about them? I know a lot of games have been dropping Denuvo after six months or so, so I'm not real worried about it from a long term game preservation standpoint. What's wrong with anti-aircraft upfront?
Good. Maybe now developpers will stop wasting 100k of dollars (or maybe I'm wrong ?) for a dumb DRM like this.
Rekt.
Tekken 7 cracked in 4 days.
Denuvo can go fuck itself.

A Denuvo game that runs well how can this possibly. All we here is how Denuvo sabotages a games performance! But isn't Tekken 7 a good PC port?
Great reward that turned out to be for the work the developers put in.

The one single game to remove Denuvo without having been cracked first was Homefront: Revolution. Every other one only did so after getting cracked. Not very helpful for preservation if one doesn't ever get cracked.Have I missed something? I've been out of the loop regarding Denuvo I guess. What's anti-consumer about them? There's also the streak of games that are being broken within the launch window. If devs are serious about preventing piracy, would they Keep going with the one that is constantly broken too early?
I don't know how much licencing and implementation costs, but its pretty likely a non-trivial amount that would be better spent on making legitimate customers game better than trying to block illegitimate usage
Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't play online with a cracked version, so for a game like Tekken it doesn't really matter, if people pirate it and enjoy it they'll have to buy it to access the main part of the game.
Just buy your fucking games you reprobates.

I do buy them, and I'd much rather buy them without the exe being tied up to Denuvo's shit making modding a nightmare.Just buy your fucking games you reprobates.
Fuck DenuvoFuck DRM
Rime's developer dropped Denuvo in a week after it got cracked.
I don't get it. Why is safe to say they are done? I read somewhere that the idea was to keep it protected for the first few weeks where most of the sales are. Even if 1/5 games are cracked within the first two weeks that still seems like an ok deal.
