Riftwar Saga Should Get Some Games

Betrayal at Krondor and Return to Krondor were good games but they're a little bit old and I'm surprised that Riftwar never received any more games.

It sounds like a very detailed fantasy setting and it has tons and tons of books. It kind of surprises me that nobody else has picked up the license to make games based in Midkemia, the main world at the setting takes place in.

I really think there's a lot of untapped potential here.

The co-designer of those games made a video in 2016 showcasing a hobby project of a "remaster" just for fun

Two years ago he modeled a tavern from Betrayal of Krondor for fun

He made clear he can't remake/remaster it:
I don't have the time or the resources to remake the whole game on my own, and the rights to do it remain, as far as I'm told, somewhere in the murky depths of Blizzard's legal department, never to be found

There's also this project from another dev that is inspired by Betrayal at Krondor:

So there's news that there's going to be a TV adaption of the books. Can't say I'm looking forward to it as most fantasy adapted from books in this current era or whatnot are pretty terrible.

I suppose that means there could be new games being made for it if that's the case depending on the popularity.

I loved those novels. Funny that they were based on a D&D campaign that the authors invented and played themselves.

I played loads of the Krynn games. They were hard as balls, though, which was annoying, but I managed to get through them.

If you've not seen that new Dungeons and Dragons film, get on it. It's extremely good, and very, very funny.

I loved the Drangonlance series growing up! Started reading them as a kid and have kept up with most of the new content. Personally, I enjoyed them far more than any of the Lord of the Rings books. Fisban > Gandalf
