Nope, it's always been the in-game length of the game (24hs of real world playtime).
That said, with rumors of a PlayStation Showcase as early as next month, and then the usual not-E3 season of events shortly after, I feel that we might heard news of what's next for the Far Cry franchise very soon anyway.

Hmm I loved 3 and 5 and I think 4 was decent. Haven't tried 6 but was just about to, why is it crap compared to 5 for example?

Next to 2? Not a chance. Next to the rest, sure it's up there. But I think I preferred 4 more because you had to choose between the two factions like in FC2.
