Oh come on now haha.
That's not entirely true.I mean it's a high indie budget but yeah I think people had their expectations for this game way too high. I don't know what the staff count is but it's super tiny
Indie games can be great looking but usually when stylized.
I didn't expect much but graphically yakuza remaster looks better. Dang
I dont want to be that guy
but those faces dont look good...
It was just entering full production in December of last year. It's nowhere close to finished, at least.
That's not entirely true.
Look at another similar KS game, Dreamfall.
Much smaller budget, not backed by Sony, first Episode came out after a year and the game looked fine without being stylized.
Lmao maybe we should donate some more money to them.
Its... weird.
Something's off

The Shenmue games are home to a lot of goofy shit. And as a fan, some of the jankyness is part of why I love it! That being said, this is still early footage, the game ain't out for a while.
Animation and lightning are pretty rough at this stage and well Ryo and Shenhua have certainly seen better days. Still excited despite the jank.
And this is a good thing.Everything about that trailer screams 90's.
