Slain - A homage to gory hack-&-slash games of the 80's & 90's (Out now on PS4)

I honestly don't like how it looks. Lacks uniformity and they're downright abusing the use of lighting, not unlike the "put a ton of bloom lighting in everything" fad of some years ago. I'm not sure if I can even put it in words :x I'm still buying it if it's a good game, though!

Hadn't heard of this before, it looks great.

I've been staring at those GIFs for two minutes while listening to the Kirkhope or Wise section of this week's Bombcast.

Well this looks great, I have a little extra cash since the IGA project looks shady, where can I fund this? Its like a Berserk videogame.

Looks like Slain might be getting equippable armor
Some big Slain! news and update coming soon!

Wants the largest console games publisher to avoid Nintendo's platforms.
I hope Slain is featured in some E3 reel this year and gets proper exposure. Day1 on the wiiU.

I really like the look of this game. I'm not sure how to describe it. Would it be considered more of a "pixel" look? Or just a stylized "sprite" aesthetic?

God's had his chance.
May have to dip for the vita version... looks like a perfect lunch hour rush game!

More gifs of fighting and such... the gore is hilariously creative. Lots of nice little touches. Props to the dev team!

Hi guys, Nick from Wolfbrew here.

Just made a little Kickstarter update so thought I'd copy and paste a the most important part of it here!

''In the last few days we set our Steam page live. See here http://store.steampowered.com/app/369070 so wishlist us and share with your friends. Ask a question on the forum and our programmer, Asa will reply.
If you check out the second video on the Steam page there is also a preview of what will be one track from the original Slain! soundtrack. Metal huh?''

Hi guys,

We are excited to release details of what will be the most insane metal soundtrack game has ever seen. Curt Victor Bryant (formally of Celtic Frost) will be recording the full Slain! soundtrack.

Also, here is a new trailer! :)

I really love how this game looks. The style is just amazing and all the violence and blood fits with it so well.

Is it true this game is only being made by two people?

Must be the first time since the early 90s that a game like this piqued my interest.

Those animations, hmmmm.

Feeling those Gods, Shadow of the beast and Deliverance vibes all over.

I don't remember "gory" hack-and-slash games being that prevalent. This just looks like a gory Castlevania game; which is fine by me.
Why does it look like a 240p game though?

This game looks very impressive. I love some blood and guts too.
The last platformer I bought was Shantae: Riskys Revenge. Though it was a good game, it was too easy. I hope Slain is challenging.
