Which Playstation game has the best music/soundtrack?

Final Fantasy VII. In a game where all the characters are expressionless lego blocks, it takes a special kind of score to be able to wring out every little bit of emotion and perfectly evoke the desired response in a scene. That was Uematsu at the top of his game.
I also nominate Jumping Flash! 1+2, Final Fantasy VIII, Vagrant Story, Klonoa, Gravity Rush, LittleBigPlanet, Journey, Mirror's Edge, Heavy Rain, ICO/SotC and Silent Hill 2. Can't just limit it to one.
#7 It will be 2am when I'm watching, so probably just a nicely steeped cup of tea (just like the PS Meeting) and maybe a pair of heavily buttered, toasted crumpets. Mmmm.
#6 SoTC. It is so well tailored to the game from the meloncholic intro music, which perfectly sets the bittersweet tone of the game, to the rousing colossus theme which accompanies your struggle to mount the beast. Exceptional stuff.

Why is it that Insomniac still can't make a game as endearing, fun and magical as the first Spyro the Dragon. Now we get the likes of Fuse; a game that nobody wants.
yeah i actually rate that soundtrack higher than most of the snes nes era music. its pretty incredible
I at least liked the Ratchet & Clank series (up until Size Matters, at least).

Are the people who created Spyro still working at Insomniac?
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time was evidence enough to me that they still had that magic.
I thought Resistance 3 was good too, but you could tell it was really straining against the limitations of the hardware, so the game felt small and narrow.

I'll give you that; A Crack in Time is really good. It's just not Spyro the Dragon good. Nothing in the Ratchet & Clank series ever was. I would never take a dump on what Insomniac achieved with that franchise, but they just weren't able to recapture the same special something that the original Spyro trilogy, and particularly the first one, had in abundance.
There are few things I wouldn't do for a HD Spyro the dragon.

I did a 100% run through Spyro 1-3 about year ago with a friend. It's actually aged really well, way better than most PSX titles.
Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer and Year of the Dragon are two of my favorite PS1 games.
But I was never that big on the first Spyro game, for whatever reason although it has the best soundtrack of them all definitely.
It is also a bit weird to me seeing where Naughty Dog and Insomniac started out, and where they ended up today. Naughty Dog has taken one path under Sony, and Insomniac has seemingly taken one that is a bit different if that Xbone rumor about them is true.

1. Gen with Sony: Ps1 sold 70 mil until the NextGen started with the Dreamcast, while N64 and all the others sold much less.
2nd: Gen: Ps2 and Ps1 sold over 120mil until the NextGen started with the Wii, way more than other consoles in the same timeframe.
3rd Gen: Ps2 and Ps3 sold nearly 120mil since the Wii launched, noticably more than other consoles in the same timeframe.
Sony needs a good E3 to continue that.

You and me both, I can only imagine what an amazing soundtrack he'd create for this game looking at what he has to work with judging by that stunning reveal trailer. Hell, even just for any flying sequences alone.
If this game ever makes it out (Please make it out!), I expect a stunning soundtrack from this thing.

Well, Ps2 sold nearly 35mil after the Ps3 launched.
I would say that the Ps3 will sell over 20mil after the Ps4 launches.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Ps3 sells more than Wii and Xbox360 at the end of the day.
Wii is pretty much dead now and it looks like MS is killing of Xbox360 right now.
While Sony is still releasing exclusive games like GoW, Beyond, GT6 and more.
