On 360 there is mandatory max size for patches that is very small and devs have to cope with it. ON PS3 on the other side patches can be as big as they want and usually the smaller are like 4 times the size of the 360 ones, the bigger an hundred time.

Yup. And there's been a few times where a 'patch' on the PS3 is just them shipping the entire game again...
 
I still don't think sony anticipated such a big push to online this generation. slow downloads, limited chat features, a huge customer security breach, isolated "PSN store", no trophies which is a social thing.

All three of them didn't. Software wise, Microsoft had the best escape plan. Nintendo had the worst. Sony was somewhere in the middle.

Microsoft's original blade dashboard and store were designed with the thought that there'd never be more than 100-150 content items. For the entire run of the console. The NXE was partly out of need because the original dash was collapsing under the weight.
