a total shame since we've only completed the first chapter and many things they used were only things that will be used at their full potential later.

Another reason why i'd want another season animated.

I'm pretty sad that I won't see a season two and cant read the light novels. I felt they really quite found their footing in the final third. And certainly the DVD/BD sales make it clear we wont see a S2.

I wouldn't want a 2nd season from the same studio. The whole thing felt rushed and terribly paced, like I was being presented the cliff notes version of the story, except the notes for some of the chapters were lost somewhere.

I did wonder all along whether they were told 12 episodes only from the start and thats why it felt so rushed in terms of pacing.

I don't really understand why they decided to pace it so fast other than that. Or did people find the pace of Spice and Wolf so bloody plodding that no-one else will follow that route.
