Here is a sentence I never thought I would write or say: The shmup sections in Nier: Automata are great and maybe my favorite gameplay part of the game. Storywise the game is picking up so far, so now I'm hooked.

Not, it's not anything like DayZ at all.
PUBG is the ultimate culmination of the genre into a full game that is good. It's made by the dude that basically invented the genre and had a hand in every successful iteration of it. Just imagine started an entire new gaming genre out of a mod they made, and have worked long and hard to polish and improve the concept. PUBG takes all he has done and put it into the best package it ever had
A Battle Royale mode is a lot more than Death Match with no respawns vtw.

I agree that Player Unknown's Battlegrounds isn't like DayZ, but I don't agree that it's the ultimate culmination of the genre. It's simply another genre. It also sells short DayZ's influence, which in tandem with Minecraft, spawned countless survival/crafting games over the past few years.

The situation between DayZ and Player Unknown's Battlegrounds to me is a lot more akin to Warcraft III and Dota 2.

Finally sold my crate for the exact price I bought PUBG for. All I wanted.

Also made it to the top 7 in a match with just a sickle.

Why does he wear the mask!?

Shadowplay makes the game freeze, FRAPS sometimes won't register it and Steam is fucking useless. I hit the key and nothing happens.

The windows key + print screen key command might work? that takes a picture of your desktop and puts into a folder on windows 10

Although it might just crash the game entirely

Lawbreakers open beta in 19 hours

Was looking over DayZ's Steam page a week ago and the user reviews are rough. Mostly Negative, overall Mixed, Steam blurb is now a warning to not buy it unless you're willing to put up with 'serious issues'. Endless stream of people saying it hasn't seen a proper update in years.

I have tried the demo, but got lucky and went though the end without a fight. It looked polished. I think it is similar to LoG, except that fights are static.

Played it for 2 hours and thought it was pretty boring and unpolished

Hmmm, doesn't look very exciting... I guess I'll save my money for Stranger of Sword City or Elminage Gothic. Thanks!

Meanwhile, I'm still playing the Swords and Sorcery demo. I've leveled up a bit and bought lots of equipment (head, neck, torso, back, hands, feet, finger, it's really a lot of equipment). Just defeated some undead folks:

Also met this creepy lady:

As I said before, the game is pretty solid. I'm enjoying the combat more and more, and there is a very handy autobattle command. Exploration has an old school feel which I really like, and you can even switch from smooth movement to the old frame-by-frame style.

Game is great for dungeon crawler lovers, It's just occasionally weird. I mean...

^_^

Mankind Divided for around 11 euros is tempting (GMG) but it'll probably hit the humble bundle soon.
I loved HR but hearing that the story isn't resolved and a sequel probably isn't happening is putting me off.

This is one of the biggest surprises I had in a while:

Massive levels + physics puzzles + Grow Home hand control system + Monty Python's ministry of silly walks.
Had no right to work but works perfectly. There's a special satisfaction about solving puzzles while performing almost impossible physics-based stunts.

Eh. Nothing of value lost there honestly. Unless you value bad porn highly, in which case, I guess that sucks for you?

I wonder what's going to happen with House Party, the dev seems to be trying to censor the game enough to where Valve allows it back on Steam, but that's pretty much going to kill the whole appeal of the game.

MUnited83

For you.
I wonder what's going to happen with House Party, the dev seems to be trying to censor the game enough to where Valve allows it back on Steam, but that's pretty much going to kill the whole appeal of the game.

I mean, it's not like the dev has to remove it from the game entirely, just from the official steam build. He can just link a small uncensor patch on the forums after.

I don't even know what the point is in having it removed, so there's a sex game, big whoop. With the amount of games that just subvert it with a means of patching it by some other means it's just a song and dance of trying to keep Steam wholesome with blood and guts.

Just put Illusion games on there and be done with it already.

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I didn't expect it to get removed so I didn't purchase it. Too bad.

It'll be back. Eek is working on censoring or otherwise removing the offending elements.

Edit: D'oh, thought I refreshed the thread.

I finished the short prologue episode of Dysfunctional Systems:

I am a bit sad how the Kickstarter never delivered its promises, but I must confess that the author rectified the damage to some degree: Kickstarter backers got this roughly 90 minute long "Episode 0" for free, and Episode 2 is back in development.

The prologue itself (re) introduces most characters, plus adds more lore about the "mediators" and the world they originate from. I still really like the setting and its premise, so if you have read Dysfunctional Systems Episode 1 and enjoyed it, the prologue is just 4,49 € and was worth the wait.

Was the original kickstarter for that and 2? I can't remember.

According to my E-Mails, it was just for Episode 2:
Code:
Pledge Summary
AMOUNT PLEDGED
$10.00 CAD
REWARD
Just episode 2 of Dysfunctional Systems.

Oh. I kickstarted it back but also asked for a refund since it never sounded like it would actually happen. Curious if he'll still give episode 2 to those who asked for a refund. Regardless if he does or not I'll probably send some money that way again

This definitely isn't the right place for this question but I'm not sure where to go.

Does anyone know where I could get a digital copy of Black & White 2? I'm not even sure such a thing exists.

I'm finally getting a gaming PC and that game has been on my list since it came out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
