Cup of tea + slice of pecan pie is what its all about. The good life.

Change that to a damn fine cup of coffee and a slice of cherry pie, and you got yourself a deal.

This DS4 supports needs whitelist option on in Steam Client. If game supports DS4 you need to disable DS4 support in Steam settings to use gamepad properly.

not all of us visit such clean porn sites

though tbh I may bite for that VPN rather than the AV software. I think it's time for a VPN.

The website is not very clear regarding download speed.

And all the promises regarding privacy for browsing can be achieved using Firefox addons (BetterPrivacy, Fat-Free-Fox, Google Search Link Fix, Self-Destructing Cookies, Smart HTTPS, uBlock Origin). Except, well, the VPN, of course.

I simply can't believe that Adam Unity demo is realtime.
It's just... not possible. Blows away anything demoscene has made in the past 10 years.

It is still mediocre engine on technical level, many games done in Unity have issues. In my opinion Frostbite currently has best visuals/performance ratio. And Coalition just scratched the surface with UE4.

Thread is unique and magnificent. Bravo, 'Bus - fine work as always.

All this Trump saturation of media and pop culture would sit more comfortably if it weren't for the nagging fear of a ridiculous result next week. Please get out there and exercise your right to vote, US folks - for the sake of all of us.

Uh, video games... Just days now until JShacks's Extra Life stream - really looking forward to it (I think a plug is allowed for the new thread, Shackman!).

Oh, and the Owlboy reviews are heartwarming - it's good for gaming if this game does well critically and commercially.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Right - Extra Life is this weekend and I'm really excited!

I'm giving away some great games courtesy of IsThereAnyDeal, GamesPlanet, and other friends of Enhanced Steam. I know a lot of you have already contributed and I genuinely thank you for that. I'm going to try to make the stream a bit more interactive this year and I'll be giving away the prizes during the stream, so it should (hopefully) be fun to watch. Keeping my mind active for 24 hours straight is usually no easy task, but I've got some great games lined up this year that I'm really looking forward to playing so hopefully you guys enjoy those as well.

I recommend skipping or chaning Dreamfall chapters; you've got a bunch of Adventure-style games already (Batman TT, DanganRonpa, Oxenfree, Firewatch) and the game has a rather slow start. I'd say by the time you've reached 1 hour in you'd have reached one of the funnier moments in the early game.

RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard / BIOHAZARD 7 resident evil Steam Preorders Up
No Gold Edition (Game & Season Pass) ATM, also no preorder bonus. Page is probably still being updated.

80$ CDN dolllar and 120$ for the season pass T.T

No one is talking about Tyranny? It's like out soon and I'm still excited for it. Really love the premise of evil having won. I'm going to be evil all the way for sure. Hopefully it's not half assed on that front but I trust Obsidian on this.

Can I get an overview of what Möbius is?

FF Mobile game with recycled enemies from the FFXIII saga. It has some kind of Job system but word of the mouth has been pretty underwhelming about it.

I like to think that when the weekend comes, J spontaneously wipes the games list, choosing to do 24 hours of No Man's Sky instead. After which he goes insane, hijacks a time AND space machine, and arrives a few days ago where he uses modbot to hack Hello Game's twitter account.

Can I get an overview of what Möbius is?

The game is light on story, but what is there is essentially that it's a prequel story to the original Final Fantasy (I). You're a potential "Warrior of Light" and you have to prove your worth before you ascend on to be able to save the world - pretty typical Final Fantasy stuff, really. You meet non-human companions along the way that help you fight, but none of which you control directly as the game focuses on a single party-member ("Wol" aka "Warrior of light", get it?).

Outside of the story, the game is your typical mobile grind-fest, which is the reason I stopped playing after the second chapter. Your character has limited stamina that refills over time or, surprise surprise, you can pay $$$ to refill it. Your stamina also refills as you level up, so at the beginning of the game this happens much more often and luls you into a false sense of "I can play this game without spending any money". In addition to stamina, your character has basic job classes you can utilize in combat - and you can obtain in-game currency to gamble on getting a new job class. Again, you can pay $$$ for additional in-game currency if you're the type of player that has to have "everything".

The combat system makes up about 90+% of the time you spend in the game. It's essentially the same combat system as Final Fantasy XIII, meaning you attack enemies in a strategic manor in order to "stagger" them which lowers their defenses and increases the potency of your attacks. It's turn based, so there is a good amount of strategy involved in addition to your "companions" randomly throwing bonuses into your battles.

As a fan of the series that plays everything, I can honestly say I was pretty disappointed in Mobius. It looks great, but there just isn't a lot of substance here and very little variety in the battle system unless you unlock the really good classes either by getting super lucky or dropping a lot of cash.

Since we are talking about FF, I recently played FF5 for the first time (sue me).

I am now convinced that at least mechanically, it is still the most accomplished out of all the mainline Final Fantasies, even 24 years later.

The question is, should I make a gaming thread about this further elaborating why, or will it just turn into "Rank Final Fantasy games #114"?

You would try but it will become a Rank Final Fantasy Games, it's a law of nature.

EDIT: I would be interested in reading your thread tho.

I couldn't tell you from that video I watched, it looked like an on rails JRPG. Square loves us, clearly.

Did you dual wield rapid fire? Ninja forever the best FF class.

Hyped for Space Hulk this month, please be good.
Also need to finish Dishonored DLC before 2 comes, and Witcher 3 one day, just not enough motivation to play anything.

Yeah FFV is really the best FF game gameplay wise. It's amazing how you can find new winning combinations and discover new strategies with each playthrough. I suggest you to join the FF5 4 jobs challgenge that RK makes usually 1 time each year. You must beat the whole game with one job from each crystal and it's a random draw. It really forces you to think outside of the box and use every items at your disposal.

Don't bother making a thread about it. It will turn into a ranking thread or dumb FF wars stuff.

Owlboy is really, really good so far. Fantastic pixel art, snappy controls, nicely designed and organic-feeling levels, AMAZING soundtrack, and a surprisingly touching narrative with way more characterization than I was expecting.

You would always add a "THIS THREAD IS ABOUT FF 5 MECHANICS NOT A RANK YOUR FAVORITE THREAD" and hope people will read it.

Of course they will not read it but it would be worth a shot.

I'm interested too. Does it finally have HOTAS support? Been kind of holding off due to that.
From the patch notes, it doesn't seem too promising:

HOTAS UPDATE
To be absolutely clear, HOTAS controllers are not officially supported and are not guaranteed to work. Some HOTAS controller do work well with the game, but they will remain at-your-own-risk.They were becoming a huge, never-ending time sink, so no more work will be done to support them.
