Well, if it was porn it wouldn't be coming OUT.

No please, stay.

This the best conversation this thread has seen since the nerds here started using random dates pointed out in certain SF story related places to piece together the timeline of SF games.
You're just upset because you only like characters with shitty character development.

Sagat is true.

Holy Shit at Balrog. He went almost 2 decades as just a boxer who really really really likes money, and has now cared for and raised a child who has set off on his own path.

He was the heavyweight champ, but success didn't cure his depression. He tried money, women, alcohol, nothing worked. Then he joined a gang and changed his name. He spent years being somebody's body guard until he found this kid. This kid became his first true friend. His first real family. But the kid grew up too fast and had to fulfill his destiny of being a supervillain, and Rog had to let him go and be alone again.

Is Ed even a bad guy? He doesn't seem evil based on his win quotes. I'd really like to know more about Neo-Shadaloo.

Well to be fair, what character in SF has had legitimate character development?
If we pretend SFIV and SFV don't exist, Chun-Li finally gets closure after Shadaloo's defeat in SFII and lives her own life as a tutor.

Ryu gets similar development with the SnH if you ignore SFV.

Karin had great development in A3 and how she turned out in SFV. She went from snobby rich bitch to responsible team leader.

Ken had similar development. He used to be a hot headed brat but became more well-tempered and responsible through the years until we see him in 3S training his own student (though really lazily) but being himself a little rusty due to his family and business duties.

Edit: Oh yeah Sagat and Boxer are the most obvious examples. Not sure how i forgot them.

That's the odd part. What is Neo-Shadaloo? Is there even an endgoal to it like Shad? Is it possible for both to exist concurrently?

Ryu got locked up for attempted murder after he lost the first World Warrior Tournament to Sagat fair and square. In prison, he earned the nickname Evil and the homies taught him how to box with the Philly Shell stance. When he got out of San Quentin, he moved in with Ken and Eliza in the Bay Area (Ken is a venture capitalist). That's when he taught Ken the Philly Shell too, in Ken's garage. Eliza was really uncomfortable having an ex-con around their kid, so she told Ken to ask him to leave. Ryu has been homeless since.

In regards to the whole Neo-Shadaloo thing, I'd really love to see Neo-Shadaloo start out as an organization with a thirst for justice but eventually go down a dark path. Like have the Illuminati kill Balrog which causes Ed to devote all his focus on taking them down, teaming up with good ol' "I'm not longer Evil" Ryu and the gang.

Once taken down though, Ed starts to become more and more like Bison to the point where ...... please continue this, I only got this far with it still making sense.
Were they ever?

Fair enough.

I don't know why y'all trying to make Ed out to be anything but a hustler like his two dads. Just look at his hoodie. That kid is up to something.

I'm legit starting to dislike K-Brad. Why start a stream where you're commentating by talking shit about the game? He seemed quieter when his Cammy was actually winning.

It's the CapCurse. Notice how Du and Snake didn't get any results until they stopped complaining about the game. Tokido's the biggest fan of the game, and he won Evo.

He's getting it out of the way so he doesn't do it midmatch

Or maybe they complain because they salty and can't adapt, reversing that when they have things figured out.
