I missed FP3 thinking it will be just as stupid as yesterday's sessions. Seems I was wrong

Now I'm excited! Hoping for a dry quali, and a wet race

I have a question. The teams which are getting their engines from the same manufacturer. are they all getting the same basic engine model and then do their own tweaks on them?
or is someone like Ferrari for example delivering less good engines to other teams to make sure they stay in front of their competitors?

I know that Renault have a separate engine department that works with each team separately for tweaks. The engine is exactly the same for all the teams

I couldn't help but read that second sentence in Vettel's voice! Odd...

Edit: brots and Omiee's post counts are all trying to defend Vettel. MJ's are all about the Ice(cream)man. The true contributors are the ones after them.

What what what.

Not contributing to the thread? Fine. But defendig Vettel?

Welcome. New F1 fans are always welcome in F1 threads.
Olden fan. I've been watching since the 90s - late Senna, early Schumacher era. My dad got me into it from a very young age

3 teams broke the curfew

McLaren, Caterham and Marussia all broke the team curfew overnight between Friday and Saturday at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Team personnel associated with the operation of the car for each of the teams remained within the confines of the circuit during the six-hour period between 1am and 7am on Saturday morning.

Each team is allowed four exceptions per year. In all three cases this was the first one, and the FIA confirmed in a statement that no action would be taken.

Thank you Jerk, Deadman, Edmond!

Kimi is my favorite current F1 driver :)

Perfect! We needed some more balance in this thread, the Webber love is just disgusting

Ah well, no ones perfect! You should get on well with Myoclonic Jerk though :)
Quick rundown of my past favorites :

Senna
Villeneuve (Yes, Jacques. Say what you will he was entertaining)
Raikonnen // To a lesser degree Alonso.

I have preferences, people I generally want to do well, but overall if you give me a good race I am happy.

Welcome aboard! Kimi is also my favorite of the current drivers. Seems like you were right in the other thread:
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar, if NeoGAF has such a thing as a friends list you would be my nr.1 draft pick.
