They're a pretty fuckin' awesome parody band, but not for everyone obviously.

I do have to say that the Steel Panther schtick is wearing of a bit; their liveshows are still quite hilarious tho. More stand-up comedy than actual performance, but hey, it's 80s metal.

My fav songs are probably Community Property, Tiger Woods and Eatin aint Cheatin

Actually surprised Steel Panther is still around. They were popular for like a week in high school then everybody rightfully forgot about them.

Well.. they play the biggest festivals (in Europe); they aren't headliners but they draw a solid crowd on main stages; and sell out the bigger venues.

I only remember their "Death to all but metal" video, which was popular around the same time Tenacious D "The Pick of Destiny" was all the rage at my high school. Which is kinda telling.

Feel the Steel (their debut) is from 2009; and the followup Balls Out is from 2011. It's been going pretty downhill from then on; the other albums have a truly 'funny' song (tastes might differ) but they've been running out of 80's riffs and "dirty lyrics" for a bunch of years now. Still a very solid and fun live-act tho. But these guys have been around for ages, they were a proffesional '80s glam metal coverband' called 'Metal Skool' in LA for many years before they signed a deal.

This reminded me of the song "angel of death" from Slayer. I know they said that they were not OK with the Nazis in an interview , but reading the lyrics you can tell they were not telling the truth (at least, that is my opinion) . After this song , not only i stopped liking Slayer, but it opened my eyes to the whole racist thing going on in the metal scene many years ago.
