Didn't want to bump but i want more gaming music.

Here's a playlist i'm starting to build up, so far i only have Zelda and Megaman songs in it. And a lot of the are the same song, just arranged by other people.

Hi, is this thread still being updated?

Anyway, I just want to say thanks for creating it in the first place. I listen to quite a few video game OSTs while working and this helped me find a few classics like Contra and even some of the newer stuff I couldn't find anywhere else like the Play! series. Cheers and I hope you keep updating it.

Also, the Battlefield 3 album is available now: http://open.spotify.com/album/2c1xA9oTMphc1c06tb6wLw

I would love for Donkey Kong Country to show up on here, but I know it will never happen. They're all on Youtube, but that's a pain to listen to conveniently.

BioShock Infinite is like playing some homeless guy's vivid imagination
Red Dead Redemption OST is also on Spotify. Didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

Great thread, btw.

It's not Spotify but this Bandcamp site lets you actually give money to music artists (oh my god what a concept), like this one has to be one of my favorite retro style soundtracks of all time:

If there are talented remixers out there I wonder how legally challenging it would be to try to "go pro" and release your remixes in a place like Bandcamp. Personally I would prefer to buy a physical CD with cool cover, I always remember feeling excited about buying Falcom CDs but ever since I stopped buying them I stopped caring.

Great thread, thanks! I forgot about Spotify when my fucked up, but downloaded and installed it on to this laptop since i saw this awesome thread. Thank you.

Hello good gaffers,

I have been maintaining a small playlist collecting all video game music I could find on Spotify for my own entertainment. It now includes about 4200 tracks. Just added the newest stuff from this thread, gonna look through the earlier posts as soon as I have time.

Apparently spotify offers my playlist as one of the first options when searching for "video game music" and I get a steady trickle of subs, but can't communicate with them so they can point me to the stuff I've missed, so I just wanted to thank every one who posted links in this thread! If you are interested, the playlist is at http://open.spotify.com/user/derbonk/playlist/1cHhei4eQJb0yPNKaFbUck

I only include original or symphonic versions of the soundtracks though, no weird tribute stuff or chiptunes.

Alright, I added everything from the thread that I hadn't found previously. It is seriously difficult to find some of that stuff, even when you search for the game's name it might not come up. I'm at 4647 tracks now, so, thanks! Apparently the Fez soundtrack was taken offline again (at least from what I hear), I really wanted to listen to that :/ In any case, I always leave unavailable stuff in the list as it may be available in other territories or at some later point.

I also opened a little soundrop (a bit like turntable.fm but with voting) room dedicated to game soundtracks as I really enjoy the soundrop system. Come hang out, if you like: http://open.soundrop.fm/s/W18aYDssP2b0zSa1

Japanese soundtracks are unfortunately far and few as the music publishers in Japan don't cooperate with spotify. Once soundtracks are published outside Japan there's a higher probability.

Yasunori Mitsuda's An Cinniuint

Motoi Sakuraba's Force of Light (Western release of the Shining Force 3 arrange album)
Some more Sakuraba stuff (not game related):
Deja-Vu's Baroque in the Future (1989, Sakuraba's band before going into the game industry)
Gikyokuonsou (1991, Sakuraba's first solo album)
What's up? (2013, 3rd solo album)
