TLOU took me more than 20+ hours. I also explored quite extensively.TLOU was 11-12h game for me [Normal].
I'm waiting for PS4 version, there I will get more hardcore difficulties.

Couldn't they have diversified some of these characters? It's like three of the same dude and their female equivalent busting through the door here.
Guess it varies, my playthough was 15 hours with what I thought was extensive exploring and taking in all the locations. It's fair to say it's between 10-20 hoursTLOU took me more than 20+ hours. I also explored quite extensively.
Why is Sony being so cagey with all of their games? I don't remember them being this secretive before. Like...we literally have no idea what most of their internal teams are doing. Driveclub, Infamous, and The Order, and then....nothing. Well, Uncharted, but who knows when that's coming. I still have no clue what The Order even is. If it's just a third-person shooter...that'll be pretty disappointing.

Not for me, some of the best games ever are third person shooters. It's a great genre if done right.
It's pretty interesting that you can speedrun the game in less than 4 hours pretty easily just by running through most areas and skipping encounters. Really shows how much of the game is designed in a way that trusts the player to create a good and lengthy experience himself.TLOU took me more than 20+ hours. I also explored quite extensively.
It's cool huh? In stark contrast to the PS3 generation.
We don't know anything about the majority of their first party studios, and that's not even taking into account developers they might be partnering with.
So excited,
They can certainly be done well, but even if they're done well it's a fairly established genre. Something new would be more interesting. I just don't feel engaged when I'm shooting anymore. Like...if it's a 'hold left trigger press right trigger' game, then that seems a little boring. The same way that Titanfall, although it seems cool and all, is still just a shooter with more agility and vertical mobility.
I'm really excited about the weapons. Electricity guns, thermite grenades, it really sounds like they're making Insomniac style weapons with Gears style shooting, with a serious, awesome setting and highly destructible environments. Such a great and promising combo.
The game was announced as a linear third person shooter from day 1. I don't know why people don't seem to know that.
What should it be then? To me, if it has great gunplay and good, varied combat scenarios set in that awesome looking world, I'm game.
A good game is a good game, regardless of the genre. Mario 3D World is still 'just a platform game', but it's a damn good one. I just want good games, wether or not the genre is established or not is irrelevant to me.
We all have different play styles right? I always take things slow during my first play through, TLOU took me 14h49m during my first play through and on my speed run(6th play through) I beat the game in 5h48m.

That's certainly a valid approach, but I'd rather play as many different games as possible rather than great games that all feel very similar. Time is limited, so I would prefer something new.
Very few games can maintain their pacing and variety over 15+ hours. I'd much rather The Order was more tightly paced and coming in at 10-12 hours. However, I also hope there are some areas which aren't linear corridors, which could throw the notion of a set time out of the window. Maybe you can return to The Order's headquarters for some scouting and optional content between missions or something. No doubt it would either be an underground location underneath London, or a Stately Home in the English countryside.
Did you use Listen Mode in TLOU?
Very Gears of War-ish.
I'm sure that this in motion would look at least better than the Gears games.
Because you sure as shit can't tell by those screenshots.

"Remember the Uncharted 2 demo with Drake in Nepal? Do you remember the reaction to that? That's the impression it left."
I don't know if this is old news for this thread, but it got me ultra excited to see this game in action.
CHUGGA CHUGG CHUGG!All aboard the hype train CHOO! CHOO!
If they can really pull off something that good, I'll be day there day one.
The reactions here were much better:

Lol at the guy saying "are they kidding" when the building starts collapsing
Now I'm even more hyped. I was wondering whether or not Ready At Dawn would be able to achieve UC2 E3 demo excitement
I hope we having a burning blimp scene

The main thing I'm hoping for is that this game has multiplayer, preferably like Uncharted 2's or Gears. They haven't ruled it out yet.
The only type of multiplayer I'd be okay with for this game would be co-op.
They're in an order of knights... They have a dress code.
Bravo to RAD for not trying to 'make each character look unique' - you end up with an incohesive aesthetic. See: Assassin Creed 4's character design.
