I would strongly recommend Top Hunter (Neo Geo) to any VC user looking for a strong two-player game. It's a side-scrolling platformer-beat'em up hybrid set across a variety of hugely atmospheric levels. Jump up to reach platforms, jump between separate foreground and background planes, grab on to ledges by stretching your arms, grab and throw enemies or beat the crap out of them. Graphics and sound are very good, and the refined gameplay just plain rocks.

If, after playing Top Hunter to death, you're looking for even more two-player platforming action, I'd also recommend you consider Blue's Journey. It's not just a "kiddie game", as some has stated, but actually a pretty good platformer in it's own right, and two players get to play co-op without it turning competitive.

These are two games that deserve to sell better, in my opinion.

Yeah, well, I've changed my fridge several times and I've got 46 and rising
though rising slower than before if Nintendo doesn't stop this two-game-per-week nonsense and idiocy.

So, what's the point of this thread if the OP hasn't updated since July?

I'll have to go buy NES Baseball a new game just to keep up with you. D:

The worst part of it is that I still have 2000 points sitting around waiting to be possibly devoted to such games as Air Zonk, Alien Soldier, Ninja Gaiden, Streets of Rage 3, and others that I didn't buy day one but that nonetheless caught my interest in some way. However, I'm on to Nintendo's evil ways, on to their deviance! I will not buy until there's something I'm 100% sure I want. (Or until I'm a decamillionaire.) Can't trick me by slowing down releases and hoping I'm more interested in the back catalog now than I was a few months ago. >_> <_<
