The Witcher 3 much further in development than Cyberpunk, unveil first half of 2013

Thanks Nirolak, that's the exact interview I was looking for. It doesn't get any clearer than this:

What's the other AAA+ game being made by The Witcher team, then?

It has to be The Witcher 3 - please can you put us out of our misery and confirm it, we asked?

"Frankly speaking, not yet," Platkow-Gilewski replied. "Give us some time; I'm sure we will announce it pretty fast in the following months, but we want to do everything in the proper order. And right now we are focused on polishing and bringing the Enhanced Edition to Xbox 360 and PC."

And that was almost a year ago.

And one of the game designers and writers said this back in September 2011:

Jan Bartkowicz said:
with the story team we were probably in pre-production for The Witcher 3 during making The Witcher 2.

Source.

There is absolutely no chance this game isn't Witcher 3.

Well let's see...

The Witcher is a financially successful series with a set gameplay base to work from.

Cyberpunk is a new IP going through a lot of revision.

Why... would we expect the other one first?

It makes logical sense from a business point of view, just would've liked Cyberpunk earlier. We're gonna have to wait till like 2015.

Well they're two separate teams though. It's not like they're working on one and then starting the other.

Unless something has changed since November 2011 (possible obviously) Cyberpunk is definitely looking to be 2015. They said their next two games would be out in 2014 and 2015.

During an investor's day presentation this week, Polish publisher CD Projekt revealed that its Red team will be working on "two different AAA+ projects simultaneously," and that the next big CD Projekt games are due out in 2014 and 2015.

Witcher 2 came out May 2011. They must have started the third one immediately after if it's "well underway", maybe even had a small team doing pre-production before the second one even came out. I'd rather they waited to announce Cyberpunk, a year before release would be ideal.
