FF13 looks unappealing to me :/

FF 13 : Style is growing on me slightly but i'm still not happy with the direction they seem to be taking the series. I like the color use in some of the environments. The comment I read regarding the battle system and how they are trying to make it "faster and cooler" is pretty troubling to me. I don't like seeing FF follow Jerry Bruckheimer and MTV cues. Just IMO.

FF Agito 13 : I haven't kept up with this AT ALL, but is it some sort of card game? Looks a little cool. I'd like to see more. I remeber it being announced in name only and thats about it.

Currently FFXIII looks slightly unintresting to me,although I'm sure that will quickly change as more information and media is released.

ATM I'm much more excited for FFXIII versus. You can say I have extremely high expectations for it

versus looks great to me, the style is nice...anyway, 'faster adn cooler' is better than slower and clunkier to me...

Anyway, its my belief that video games in general could go along way to improving the general gaming formula...I would very disappointed if they weren't changing anything up in the FF series...

rpgs are probably my favourite genre, but there is massive room for gameplay improvement in this genre

Anyway, I get the impression that alot of the people who have little interest in FFXIII direction etc, have not been particularly big fans of the ff series in general in recent years

Oh, and there have been more games being ported from Cell phones lately. There's always hoping.

I don't really like the thing about summoning the Transformers, either, or the overall Advent Childreny feel. Eh.

Feels weird saying this, since I've always been supremely hyped for every new installment in the main FF series. I dunno.

It seems like its going to be very cinematic. Also, hopefully the battle system works along the lines of FFX-2 in that its very very quick. I can't really do the traditional ATB RPG battle system anymore.

I like the fact that Monster Kingdom/Unknown Realms looks like it could become the Shadow of Destiny/Memories of the PS3 - great little post-launch sleeper hit!

Same here, Shadow of Memories (I think that's the name of the PAL-version) is still one of my favorite PS2 games!

Reminds me of it as well, in a way. The only thing that worries me is that Gamers Republic is developing it, and they havent been developed anything really good in a while

Brave story was pretty good. Genji 1 on PS2 wasn't bad either(only a bit short)

Yeah, I agree. I actually liked Genji 1 a lot on PS2. I liked Genji 2 more than most people, but it's not as good as the original (If Game Republic went back to same camera as Genji 1, it would be just as good IMO).

I wished Brave Story on PSP came stateside, because it definitely looks like a pretty good, original RPG for PSP, with pretty impressive graphics.
