F.A.Q.

So what's the difference between this and other Trauma Center games?

This game expands upon the idea, and instead of just doing surgery with funky voodoo magic, you've got multiple styles of playing the game now. Analyze a body and figure out how they died, diagnose patients, and of course the usual "fix their body by doing this" stuff!

Does it have multiplayer?

Yes! This game actually takes multiplayer slightly differently than the previous games with it, you split up tools/patients to work as a team, rather than everyone getting everything and doing whatever. Cooperation is key!

What extras are there in this game?

Well if you think you're pro, time to step it up! They have a new difficulty by the name of Specialist mode which will put your trauma skills to the test! Games in the series are well known for their difficulty, let's see what they have in store for this game. There are also a good bit of achievements Doctor Medals to go for, completionists are in for quite a time. Got to get them all! It's like Pokemon, only the pokemon are people in debilitating pain.

Does anybody know how difficult it is yet? I'll probably only play it in co-op anyway, but the previous games used to destroy me. :lol

I'm definitely picking this up. The old formula was getting pretty stale by itself, I'm glad that they're changing things up a bit.

Oh dear; I completely forgot about this game. I wish it wasn't coming out on the same day as both Alan Wake and the new Prince of Persia, but I'll do what I have to in order to make time for it.

What the fuck :lol

Looking forward to this, art looks okay enough so that I can live with it.

Really wish I could buy this, but I have no time or desire to buy new games right now =( no need for it either since I just got Demon's Souls.

Oh well, I'll buy it when it's 9.99 at k-mart >_<''

lmfao, this character. I saw the artwork but I had no idea about his "name" and background.

Giant Bomb sold me on this, but now I've got to suffer and pray for a European release. Hurry up and announce that you are publishing this over here, Nintendo.

Yeah, all the characters have a bit of an odd quirk about them, like CR-S01 and his past, Hank Freebird and his (spoiler ahead)
dressing up as a superhero outside of work
, and Naomi's ability to (not really a spoiler since it's one of the ways she is able to do her job, but tagging anyways)
hear the voices of the deceased on her cell phone
. So while the game is trying to ground itself into reality a bit more, we have a few special things going on here.

I bought New Blood from a Gaffer a few months ago, and only played through the first chapter. I'll surely pick this up after I clean my backlog, though.

I don't know how I'm gonna find balance between this game, MHTri, Dementium and Galaxy. Thank god Peace Walker is on June.

What the hell?
Last night I spent about an hour going through Amazon's "coming soon" lists and adding in everything that I wanted to my cart/wishlist.
How the hell did I miss this!?

*preorders*

Yeah, Amazon's offering $10 credit for pre-orders, and they have release date delivery. Awesome.

To those that use GameStop, you get $5 off if you pre-order, I think.

Why did this have to hit during my MH phase :( MH3 has taken over my life and keeps me so occupied I probably won't buy a thing for a month or two.

There are very few games I actually care beyond that of a normal consumer enough to "support" instead of waiting for bargain bin. Trauma series is one of them.

I know I shouldn't have preordered this, but the $10 Amazon credit, the good reviews, and the game's structure reeled me in. Since I didn't choose release date delivery, I hope I get a chance to play it before SMG2 comes out or it goes to the backlog pile. I can only hope this game is good as I'll be a neophyte to the series.

This might be the first "trauma" game i really get into. Always loved the series, but never played it enough.

Family owned place near me got both this and Alan Wake in yesterday.

The plan was to just put this in for a little while and then get back to Wake, buuuut. That hasn't happened.

The game is so good so far. I haven't played a lot of the other Trauma Center games on the Wii (played both DS versions) so I don't know if this is new or not but the production values are really great. The story scenes are really beautiful and the different gameplay styles are varied enough to keep everything interesting. Whether or not some of them -- endoscopy in particular -- will get boring after a while is something yet to be seen, but so far I'm loving every minute.

Diagnostics in particular is an especially fun and almost surprising change of pace. I'd already seen the videos, but it's still striking just how different it feels from not only what I'm used to from the other Trauma Center games, but different from a lot of games in general. Something about the game feels really fresh, in my opinion. Good on Atlus for changing things up with such a popular series.

Missed all the official thread launches while I was on vacation, I guess.

I had this preordered up until a few days ago, but sadly I can't justify even $34 with a $10 credit right now. Assuming nothing else comes up, I think I'll plan on getting it with my $20 Galaxy 2 gift card once that one is finished.

This is a standalone right?

I might have to order this along with some other Wii games when I trade some stuff into Amazon.

I have both DS games and New Blood. Quit the first game, and the other two games I just stopped playing because some other game came out that I wanted to play at the time.

I preordered this on Amazon with Galaxy 2 and free shipping and I can't wait to play it. But I definitely need to play Fragile & Bayonetta too! >_< $30 Amazon credit, which I will use for S&P2!

Really looking forward to this. New Blood did such a good job of bringing the series over to the Wii (properly >_>);

This game is truly, truly incredible. Ever since I popped it in, I've been totally enthralled, and unfortunately neglected what I was actually supposed to be doing today. :/ I wasn't expecting a whole lot going in. I mean, I like the Trauma Center games well enough. They're pretty good. But Trauma Team is on a whole, completely different level. There's so much variety in the game, and it feels so very polished. Each of the characters has their own story that's really interesting to follow, and they all weave together as you progress through them. My favorite so far has really been the forensics stuff. It's like a fully-fledged detective game, and the cases are really interesting so far. It certainly helps that Naomi is a very cool character to follow, as well. I really can't wait to play some more and see what's next.

It's been a really long time since I've been so blown away by a game, and I can't stop gushing about it to all of my friends. I've been a little down on gaming lately, and I was actually hoping that SMG2 would be able to pull me back. It looks like I didn't even have to wait that long, though. If you're on the fence, please don't be. Buy this game. It's worth it.
