The YouTube description of the TGS trailer calls it an adventure game. I pretty sure most of the game will be story, with a few minigame type things (like this) to provide variety.

Huh. Strange genre-shift from Vanillaware if so. I was excited for more 2D action, but I'm down for something story-driven too if it turns out well.

I wouldn't count it. Quoting for a new page:

Looks like those streams are for Dragon's Crown and 13 Sentinels. No new games here, folks.

So no new games, and no SMT for Switch or Persona stuff.
Edit: I should add that there will be some SMT streams at TGS independent of the streams OP talked about, but I'm pretty sure those are all stated to be about Deep Strange Journey.
