Far Cry Classic (HD remaster version) was only ever announced for XBLA, so maybe the version of the Far Cry Compilation that PS3 is getting does not include FC1. PC will probably just get original FC1 but reengineered to work on an OS above XP. 360 will probably get Far Cry Classic along with 2, 3, and Blood Dragon.

All my guesses of course.

well Far Cry 1 has virtually nothing to do with what the series has become, so i'm not the least bit surprised or disappointed that it isn't included. though the decision is a little goofy

I think just a temporarily exclusive, Ubi does that a lot for an hour or two extra gameplay with Sony.
