Well, someone involved appears to be an 8-bit computer fan rather than all this console stuff; I'm pretty sure that Batman in the very first picture is the slightly overweight Batman from the isometric 3D platformer by Jon Ritman & Bernie Drummond. When I was working in the Ubisoft Quebec studio, there was something similar going on with a building across Charest Boulevard that was populated with various artists and an art gallery. It didn't quite get to those lengths exactly, but there were definitely pixelblock characters, post-it notes and fake snow put to good use.
