Pretty much just Stranger Things for me this month.

I'm just glad that The West Wing will still be there! Been working my way through the show for the last few weeks.

What's the deal with the exodus of shows?

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
I don't know how I'm going to live without 30 Rock. I've been watching it almost daily for years. I can only hope that it comes back someday. :(

Looks like there's not much interesting happening until the 13th. Damn that list of removals is oddly troubling. Bernie Mac is gone....

Ouch, that's a lot of great shows leaving the service. And man, so many Netflix Originals. How many of them are worth watching, though?

Louis, Curious George, Hotel Transylvania, 30 Rock, Malcolm in the Middle, and a few others all get regular rotation in my house. That kind of sucks.

I was planning to watch Mulholland Drive too. Better get that done.

Netflix has way too many originals. How many of them don't last more than 2-3 seasons? yeesh @ their quantity over quality approach.

Luckily we've still got Stranger Things going strong. But that will probably pull a OitNB/House of Cards sooner rather than later.

What's the deal with the exodus of shows?

Exclusive deal between Fox and Hulu began this month. Most of those shows are leaving because of this: Malcolm in the Middle, Prison Break, Family Guy, Cleveland Show, My Name is Earl, How I Met Your Mother etc. Fox owns a chunk of Hulu, it's better for them.

That still doesn't explain why 30 Rock is going away too. It's just disappearing for no reason.

I don't subscribe to Netflix for original content or to watch movies I have never seen. I subscribe to Netflix so I can watch 30 Rock and The Office over and over and over again. I have watched 30 Rock all the way through probably close to 70 times now. Looks like I'll need to buy season sets of 30 Rock now.

Pretty crazy that Cult of Chucky is dropping day one of its release.

I'm also in for Raw.

Universal has a deal similar to that of IFC where their DTV stuff drops the same day as the Blu-ray. Granted, most of Universal's DTV stuff is stuff that few would be interested in otherwise, but I do know that people have been waiting for this movie in particular for a hot minute.

Ooooooooh. Makes sense. Is Hulu worth subscribing to in conjunction with Netflix??

Yes and no.

Browsing on Hulu is still a pain. The biggest downside is the damn ads. They happen way to frequently and are long. You can pay $12 to take them away. But for $12 I might as well sub to Amazon and get Prime with the video.

I have subscribed for the past three months due to the fact that Showtime, Cinemax and HBO are add-ons options to the service. And they give you a free month with them. So the first month I was subbed to Showtime, second month Cinemax, third HBO. Still debating whether I should keep it when HBO's free month is up at the end of the month.

Malcolm in th Middle, 30 Rock and Louie?
That's a gut punch.

We would get along well, that's most of my browsing experience too.

Disappointed there aren't any good horror movies...

It's pretty amusing that The Shining is leaving Netflix the first day of October. Not that it matters much, since Netflix is largely a dumping ground for IFC Midnight material and Shudder has really come a long way in terms of its selection.
