What's an extremely obscure computer game you played back in the day?

Remember playing the demo/shareware of that on one of my Empire Games CDs. Really ugly even at the time but fascinating all the same.
Im trying to remember correctly, I'm not sure but I think this game sticks out in my memory because I think it's the first time I ever experienced 3D graphics.

Porn d.o.s. games. There, I said it.

I dont exactly remember details about actresses or anything concrete to actually look it up, but I remember one that had a temperature meter to heat things up... and another one called house guest something.

Circa 1992-1995.

Good old times.

The Space Bar. A point and click adventure game where you're a detective questioning a bunch of weirdo aliens in a bar.

I never got very far but I had a ton of fun with it.

Doesn't Alan Rickman voice a character in this game???

I didn't have a PC that could play anything good until the back-half of the 90's, and even then I played mostly the big-name stuff, but my favorite of all time was Silent Death Online.

It was a part of Gamestorm until about 1999 when EA bought the whole service and put it behind a pay wall. It promptly died. It was the first game I would stay up to see the sunrise playing, made it all the way to the 2nd to top rank (Lieutenant Commander, below Commander) before it died. I credit it with teaching me to type. You had to type fast in order to not get killed.

3D Dinosaur Adventure. I think that's the name. There was another one where you go inside a body and shoot germs.

Both educational games. If I were on the computer I'd look them up for pics.

I remember buying Pariah and had never heard of it. To this day I've never heard or read anyone talk about the game. I loved it! Played it and completed it in about 3 sittings. Thought the graphics were absolutely amazing. It looked fantastic to me. Very fond memories of it.

I always get that game confused with "Messiah", the third-person shooter from the 90s with the cherub.

Not sure how obscure it was but I remember playing 4D Sport boxing when I was younger and I havent seen or heard of it since.

4D Boxing was the best! I think I still have the big box of it. I will have to look.

Cover Action, Sid Meier's most forgotten brilliant game.

Akalabeth was the precursor to Ultima way, way back in the early Apple ][ era. Not the most obscure title, certainly, but I'd be willing to bet not many here ever played it.

I watched one of my cousins beat that game when I was younger, but I thought it was just another sci-fi shooter at the time

I don't want to Google this at work but Tongue of the Fatman was a weird fighting game I used to play on PC.

I don't know how obscure they are, but...

I loved the Movie Monster game.

You picked your monster, your city, and your scenario at the start. You got a fun little theater experience pre-game, and a text prologue and epilogue.

Most of the monsters were rip-offs homages to real movie monsters, but they did get Godzilla.

Another that you can actually play on archive.org is Dracula in London. You're trying to run down Dracula by finding clues to his location, eliminating boxes of dirt he uses to rest in and, hopefully, killing the count himself at the end.

Each character can be controlled by a separate player online sitting around the keyboard. I never played it that way though.

I'm not sure how obscure it really is, but I never see anyone talk about it. Hype was a pretty decent action/adventure game. I think there was eventually an N64 port.

A super-basic water ballon game based on the Mr. Men series of book. My mom insisted to get me this game because she wanted me to have at least one "non-violent" computer game. There's literally no review/gameplay video, etc of it online.

Liked it a lot too.

Dunno if its obscure though.

Shogo was a pretty big release from Monolith, arguably on the rise to the pinnacle of what they'd become. It was a showcase for the Lithtech Engine. I would agree it's name doesn't get tossed around much, however it is the furthest from obscure.

I got this in one of those multi dos game packs they sold at sears. You control this overlord guy trying to stop an invasion of his castle by setting traps, placing monsters or just going down there himself to fight. You could create your own monsters in a lab too. I sucked it at though I would always get overwhelmed.

I'm in my early 30s, but everytime I mention this game, NOBODY knows what it is. Well, unless they are 40+ usually. Bonus points if you do.

Legend of The Red Dragon.

There's an old DOS game that I used to play a lot of which comes to mind, but I'm not sure if it counts as obscure. Shareware game with customizable levels, had ASCII graphics. Could have sworn I've seen an image from it recently, might have to dig it up.

I wrote an article on NetMonster so I could submit it to Hardcore Gaming 101, but then I couldn't get the thing running in order to take images. D'oh. It was a Pokemon knockoff, but instead of exploring the game world, you could put a NetMonster cage on a web page and players could find a monster from there. They could have custom images, and there was a random chance that they'd be a boss or miniboss. People actually kept records of where to find bosses and stuff and posted them around.

It's a relic of the Angelfire / Geocities era, so it seems like most of the old sites are gone.

Hey, I played Legend of the Red Dragon 2! As an ASCII man it appealed to me more. I still need to break it out again; it's been years and I don't remember it too well anymore.
