We even had to take showers together since we had the huge room with multiple shower heads. Would always make fun of the freshmen who would never take showers because they didn't want anyone to seem them naked. People need to get over it and move on.

Edit: also in my instance, the guy wasn't exactly old, he was maybe 40 - and whenever people told him to put some clothes on, he would put on a shirt and then go back to chatting people up - maybe that has coloured my feelings a bit.

After reading this whole thread, this was the most on-par response to what I was going to say, except I was going to take it a step further... We used to do fucked up shit to each other, like piss on dudes while we were in the shower and stuff like that. I was a bit uncomfortable getting naked in front of other dudes when I was a freshman, but that's mostly because I'm hairy and the guys used to give me shit because I was one of the only dudes with small junk that was still comfortable walking around naked. After a while nobody gives a shit.

Now that I'm an adult I find it a little weird when a dude lingers in the locker room a little too long, but if they're just chatting on their way to the shower, or getting dressed, or applying talcum powder, that's completely normal. You shouldn't be uncomfortable doing or seeing others doing anything in a gym locker room that you don't do in your bathroom at home (besides sexual acts like jerking-off, of course).

Try volunteering to model nude for your local college or community center painting class... That'll get you over your weirdness about being naked real fast.
