In the last few months, I've seen MGSHD for 9.99 on Xbox Live and UMVC3 is currently $15 on XBL right now.

Even though it's an arcade game and I've heard it's pretty short, I wouldn't mind this. I like those Metroid style games.

On another note, what's with Halo 3? Didn't MS say it would be in the first wave along with AC2? They decided to pair it with that Defense Grid instead. It would have made sense to release it this month seeing as that's when it was originally released. I guess they have a few more months unless they're stopping it after the XB1 launch. I already have Halo 3 but it would be good to see it get a population increase even though the majority of the good maps are DLC and it's unlikely that they'll offer them for free.

I'd imagine it would be released next month, since it was released on September 25th.

The games so far have been really disappointing. Either they're really old, have far superior versions out already, or I already own them.

Give me something I actually want, Microsoft. :/ :\

I've downloaded all the games so far, but Dead Rising 2 is the only one I've actually played. And I already played it when it came out years ago.

I dunno what MS's goal is with all this, but if it's supposed to be their answer to PS+, then yikes...

DR2 is a great game, and I downloaded it for free on Gold, but I also have it on Steam already. Crackdown has been the only game they've released that I picked up that I can't get a better version on a different platform. MSoft needs to release the Games for Gold that are exclusive to the 360. It'd make it better in my opinion. Free is free though, no reason to complain I guess.

Already own it, Off the Record, and all the DLC.

I've been so disappointed with all the titles so far. The only one I even bothered downloading was Fable 3, even though my friends warned me it wasn't as good as 2.

I hate how they removed the "pay with microsoft points" button the website if you don't have any so you can't even get free stuff.

That's a pretty good point. First party platform exclusive stuff should be the first priority here.

June: Fable 3
July: Defense Grid, Assassin's Creed 2
August: Crackdown, Dead Rising 2 + Case Zero
September: Magic 2013, Rainbow Six Vegas

Halo 3 is one of the remaining games. Assuming there are two more games a month, that leaves five other games. Hoping for something good. Underwhelmed by the age of the games offered so far.

I click on it then change payment options, but it says something about not having paying option on file, add credit card?

Wth, I downloaded all the other Free Gold Games so far except AC2 since I have that digital already and I know I am still Gold member it says it when I log in on website.

Do it through the console. For some reason MS now requires you to register a card if you're using the webstore to download stuff.

Oh ok, just I did it before through web, I guess something to do with change of MS points? They did sent me email recently giving me $1 for whatever very little points I had left over.

Seriously, whats wrong with these guys. Why R6V still has regional lock? Why don't lift the lock before making the game avaliable? What do they win by pissing off people abroad.

I'm pretty sure the US version is region-free. Perhaps your issue is the marketplace IP-lock.

downloading. anyone know if theres still an online community? hopped into ghost recon advanced warfighter not too long ago and there were still a few games being played and that was from around that time, wasnt it?

yes, the problem is the ip lock, annoying as hell. Aside from magic, all games weren't avaliable to download from southamerica during the first days. Fable's lock was lifted one day before the offer expired, many of my friends couldn't get the game.

I set up a random dedicated server for R6V and got the Master of Ceremonies achievement easily, lol.

People love dedicated servers. You provide it, they will gladly join. :p

Lol that was the only map people played back in the day. I liked this game, but why not give us Vegas 2, makes no sense. Both are old as dirt.

I've wanted Halo 3 to be free for so long, but I'm hoping they push it to November. I have so many games in my backlog, AND GTA is coming out tomorrow. Playing Halo 3 right up to the launch of the Xbox One would be a great last hoorah

Hah, I can't download because I took my credit card off file, and took off autorenew. Now they won't let me download unless I put another card up.
