Abyss Odyssey is great, but definitely an acquired taste. I hope people give the demo a spin and decide to jump on. At that price, it's a no-brainer. I paid full price and loved it.

I did too even though I fell off from playing it. The controls are clunky and it can be tough at times but I would recommend it as well. Ace Team games have fantastic direction; this game in particular is such a radical departure from their usual wacky stuff.

I guess it's time for me to finally check out Guacamelee and see what all the buzz is about. I enjoyed the demo when I played it on the Vita in a Best Buy several months ago.

I just played the demo for Abyss Odyssey the other day. It was interesting. But like the Zeno Clash games, I just don't know if it's worth my time. I'm intrigued by them, but they're just so rough around the edges. Eh, maybe I'll just buy it to support the developers.

I only have Table Tennis but I think it's pretty solid. It's a pretty deep tennis game and still looks surprisingly good for a game that came out in 2005 but the AI can be tough and unfair at times. There's outfits to unlock for all the players by achieving certain conditions. Unfortunately the MP community is dead so you won't be able to get any matches. But I can see it being pretty fun if you had friends over and played a couple of local multiplayer matches.

I'm curious about Virtua Tennis 4 myself. IIRC, a couple of GAF members in the past said that it's hard to recommend so I ended up checking out Sega All Stars Tennis when it was on sale. Something about it not being as good the Top Spin tennis games.

Finally a decent sale after pretty lackluster deals for the past couple of weeks even if it is a rehash of old sales. Definitely would recommend Asura's Wrath as I was LTTP on it last year and it was pretty damn good. It has great music, a ridiculously over-the-top plot, and the gameplay was pretty solid for what it was. I didn't mind the fact that it was mostly a QTE game since they were well done.

The only thing that's a deal breaker is that the DLC isn't on sale as well since I bought while it while the DLC was also half off. If anyone wants to finish the game, the final episode is locked behind a pay wall because LOL Capcpom.

I would also highly recommend Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen because everyone needs to buy it and experience the amazing sense of exploration and epic battles. It was my GOTY last year since I was LTTP but I absolutely loved every minute of it that I was blown away by it. The Witcher 3's griffin/large monster battles won't ever hold a candle to Dragon's Dogma battles. Still want to get a physical version of the game at some point.

Dead Rising: Off The Record is great if you want more Dead Rising 2 with Frank West. I like the Sand Box mode as it has a bunch of cool challenges without the stress of the time limit.

I might check out Strider since I heard nothing but good things about it on several podcasts in the past. Although I don't have much of a reason to turn on my 360 these days. The one thing that I find odd about this sale is that Mega Man 10 is not on sale.

Just wanted to say that it's really appreciated what you do to keep us up to date on time and every week Vert boil - I said it like way back when you first started doing it too I think, but I always like to show people appreciation.

Back to the topic, it's crazy how many times people have had chances to get the Bioshock Infinite DLC, which is actually nice since it was free with GwG. Even I got them sometime a long while back, but I can't remember whether I bought the Season Pass or the stuff individually with the Gamestop money from that contest. I'm pretty sure at one point in time that all of the DLC was discounted to the price of the discounted Season Pass, and I got them like that. Have to check my download history. Still have to play the sealed LE copy I got for cheap years ago.

And with the CoD sales it's never CoD4 or MW2 - I wonder if it's because they're still selling that much, or if it's because of the possibility of running into modders online in MW2.
