those arent ads.
Yes they are. Recommendations are ads Stop trying to twist it any other way.
those arent ads.
I'm a Sony fan boy and even I think that's cool, as long as it actually works quickly and without hesitation.

That is a bunch of hoops?
I closed the window after the 4th "in her face".
They can, do not know why you are trying to start an argument. They have Gaikai... Also they did it in the past with PS3 games. So yeah, they can do it.
If that is your "reason" because they said no ads and now there are?Well that is good that you believe them, but many of us have seen what happens when companies do this. That is why a lot of people are skeptical. We have seen it crash and burn before. MS isn't above lying. For instance: they said no ads would be on the Xbox One main screen, and guess what? There are ads on the main screen.
WHAT? Simple and clean is what you like? How in the world do you not like the XMB? it's whole point is to be simple and elegant... YOu have contradicted yourself in your argument.
Not sarcasm at all. It's way more important than "a USB port in the wrong spot". It's about the complete package. Same reason I'm an iphone user instead of an android. There are plenty of phones on the android side that have better specs, but the simplicity and elegance of ios just works for me. That's how I feel here. I don't use my consoles strictly for gaming, so yes I would use the UI more frequently. It's all opinions though. What works for me won't for others

Can they please utilize the cloud and bring that Forza game into the next generation? (that GIF looks... not next gen)
Great post man. Also, that post history of yours... wow.

1080p, 60fps, with those graphics?Does that GIF look next gen to you?, honestly?, yes/no.
I rest my case.

Yep. It definitely looks much better than your average next gen launch title.

This is next gen quality trolling.
Yeah it's worth mentioning that Gaikai is a streaming service Sony purchased to develop a platform for streaming PS3 games. Azure is currently a billion dollar business on its own, encompassing a range of cloud-based services.Gaikai isn't Azure. They can't do what MS is doing with Azure with Gaikai.
Lol, you have to excuse that dude he has no limits. This is next gen quality trolling.
actually this is just bad trolling. nothing nextgen about it..This is next gen quality trolling.

Soak it in! All of you. Soak it in.

Not that Sony can't or won't develop cloud-based services for their gaming platform, but MS already has big time cloud services today.
Because I think the XMB is very bland and lifeless. Nothing about it is appealing to me. I never said the XMB wasn't simple either, so not sure how I contradicted myself. I was speaking strictly and only about the Xbox One UI. The layout and presentation is much more flattering to my taste. Like I said, opinions. They do vary.
Sony have a service agreement with Rackspace for their OpenStack servers, the same company that CERN and NASA use for cloud computing, it won't be as ingrained as Microsofts cloud but you can bet that Sony will have something very similar.

Is the User Interface really important to people here ?
All I want to know is how capable is the hardware and how good are the games to play and look at.
As long as the UI is clean and easy to use, does it matter ?
What percentage of your time do you spend using the interface to playing games or running apps ?
For me its like 0.05 % UI usage....

I was watching that boot up sequence and thought to myself 'Hmm, that seems familiar. Where have I seen those effects used that way before?'
Then it hit me - I've seen them in every sales pitch delivered in PowerPoint when the presenter thinks that to keep people's attention they need to use every single transition animation on every single element on every single slide.
This revolutionary UI is a .ppt file.
Also - cloud schmoud.
My god. It's true.
Insert any animation of people clapping hands, Antonio Banderas or whatever you want. This is just too good, and it also happens to be correct. One of the "operating systems" running in Xbox One seems to be Microsoft Office.
