This is week 14 right? It's been a long time since Silver Spoon last chapter. Arakawa better not have a fourth child.
Well, even taking care of three children, draw a weekly and monthly manga doesn't look particularly healthy to me.

Behind all the crazy sadistic stuff there’s a really good story being told here. Amazing art too. It was cool to find out the author was an assistant to Miura and Kaoru Mori. I can kinda see both of their influences, Miura especially for all the grimdark and art/inking style. Considering this is already done over there, It'll be interesting to see what she does next (had to double check, but I'm pretty sure the author is a she).

I fucked up badly, somehow I thought that Suicide Island is complete so I burned through the available volumes in 2 sittings, it's the kind of gripping stories that work better if you read them all at once. Even though I cannot see the story continue for much longer, the wait is still gonna suck.

Here in this page you could see that Vice Prez definitely bigger than you've ever seen before. I know this is something you could expect from Arakawa as she usually tried to make her characters actually grow in literal sense and make them feel more organic. But the I remembered something traced to 10 chapters back when Alexandra made her first appearance.

There Vice Prez looks like doesn't grow that much, ain't it? Maybe jumped back too far, and found that Vice Prez appeared in chapter 94

Although in this page you could see that Vice Prez definitely grow, it isn't that much from chapter 86 which makes his appearance in chapter 97 likes the result of some astounding growth burst. Maybe the reason is that Alexandra big body makes Vice Prez looks small, or Miha small stature makes Vice Prez looks big or both. Or even more simple reason is that this is just Arakawa's oversight.

Anyway, this is a good chapter to start again. It's nice to have Silver Spoon back.

And with this Mx0 ends. Can't say I'm too sad it ended the way it did because halfway through this manga became somewhat boring and started to drag incessantly, with repetitions, no real plot progression and annoying misunderstandings.
On the other hand, a better planned and executed final arc would have been preferable but, again, the author shouldn't have wasted so much time. He said in the afterword how he wanted the story to end following the events at the end of volume 6 and, well, that would have made this a better overall work if he did follow through on it, with well timed pacing and no waste of time with skippable chapters.

At least, we did get LucyxKuzumi as the official OTP, given how he takes her with him, so there's that.

It's Korean tho, so I feel like that's cheating. The quest to find a manga you haven't already read is still ongoing

Shuukan Shounen Girl 1-2
The first chapter was great, but the second one was disappointing because it wasn't following the first pair. It was still cute though, but damn if I didn't want a continuation of the guy absentmindedly harassing the girl for the manga on her stomach.

She wasn't a bitch. She has serious reasons for acting the way she does. The manga is pretty good, like anything Yayoi Ogawa makes, really.

Holy shit. I wasn't expecting this to be a dark shonen fantasy. It's unexpectedly good. The main character reminds me of Edward Elric, which can only be a plus. I wasn't expecting a shonen manga to deal with forced prostitution either. Definitely going to keep an eye on this.

Hmm, have you ever read Melo Holic? Nineteen,Twentyone? Those are completed though.

As for ongoing I pretty much only keep up with City of Dead sorcerer and Dr.Frost. Some of the jokes only make sense in Korean.

Yeah, she slept with him, and it pissed me off too when I read it too because Leon didn't deserve that treatment, but she has reason for acting the way she does (I'm guessing the scanlation hasn't covered that part yet, but it's heavily hinted at what it could be) and I'll say that I found them realistic.
Without spoiling too much let me say that she considers herself defiled while Leon is pure in her mind, and she doesn't want to ruin something as pure as Leon (plus when she's with Leon, it's like she's back to being her child self). Her way of thinking about this is childish, because she is childish in a way and it all goes back to what happened to her in the past as a child.

But no, she just has a personality shift into a typical tsundere. It's pretty mediocre so far. I guess the good thing about this is that there is no ambiguity in the romantic relationship, but really, I can honestly give less than a shit at this point. It's not compelling in the least.

I thought you liked suffering?

The series handles some difficult themes (self-hatred, child abuse) and it does that by using a broken character like Michiru, though it is still a series about figure skating at its root, with everything that entails.

I really thought it was a good manga. Not a 10/10, but surely an 8, thanks to how it handled such themes, the way it ended and also because the characters in the story are all a bit flawed yet interesting, making it feel quite realistic. I even ended up liking Hikaru (the dude Michiru slept with and that pissed off our good face-stealing Kasane) by the time the series ended.
