Nintendo Downloads - August 2014

Sure.
I'm really not sure where we're going with this, other than that you have difficulty believing that some people enjoy games that you don't.

Make sure you hold up some ID and a copy of the day's newspaper, too. Don't want you finding some video off YouTube and claiming it's you.

I'm just in total disbelief that someone is happy that DK Jr. Math of all things is being released. I await to be proven wrong, and I'm cool with that notion; it's just very difficult to ration.

Some of those "Simple download " games look pretty interesting.

I´d love to play this escape the room game that was just released in Japan.

A you are asking if Americans import pal systems so we get to pay higher prices? Is that really your question? When translated into US dollars these "sales" are barely discounted, if at all.

No, I was asking Team Top Hat specifically if he ever considered getting a PAL system, since he seems to think that NOE offering are so much superior, especially in the VC department. This has nothing to do with prices, I just gave an example of what people unhappy with Nintendo's regional policy typically do.

What's a good $5~ game on Wii U eShop? I own...

Kung Fu Rabbit
Nano Assault
Mighty Switch Force
Super Metroid
Spin the Bottle
F-Zero
Balloon Fight

I just saw the trailer for Xtype Plus.

Holy shitballs it looks amazing. Definitely buying it.

I was just looking for info on it and I stumbled across the old web version of the game. Even that was pretty fun, haha. Yeah I'm definitely picking it up for 3 bucks.

I haven't played it yet but Scram Kitty is apparently pretty good and it just happens to be on sale this week for $5 (normally $10)

The easiest fool proof method of proof is just to post a screensoht on Miiverse. Your NNID is the ID part sorted and the fact it gets posted into the community for that games proves you are playing that and have not just drawn a screenshot in art academy or whatever.

Now that would take some talent.

Seriously though, I like that idea much better.
But, it probably won't make much of a difference regardless.

Definitely going to pick up Scram Kitty and ZaciSa’s Last Stand now

Sorry for waiting for a sale, still busy playing other stuff

it all went better than expected . jpg

Damn, I have about $18 left on my account. I was hoping to save it for later VC titles, but guess I'll spend it on Gunvolt & probably Scram Kitty.

Can we please stop the "NoE is so much better than NoA, wah wah" bullshit now?

Thanks Robin, good post. Can't stand it when people think NoE is some kind of gaming heaven. Just wanted to add that we have to deal with so many delays and no-shows - every new release has me worried it won't even come here. And sadly, the ones that haven't make for a formidable list.

So yeah, cut the crap. Thanks.

Can I post that Japan has it so much better?

I want to play TG16 games on my 3DS! Give me the Soldier Blade games damnit!

Wii U | eShop Original Software, Downloadable Content and Demos

Seeing the games listed like that really makes it hit home what a fantastic sale this week is. Plus next week is guaranteed to be decent with the veterans part of the Smash Bros sale to come.

Also, I forgot Hyrule Warriors is out in Japan today. Spoiler-avoidance mode activated.

UK prices are incorrect for NES games, should be £2.24 instead of £1.74, as the usual price is £4.49

Apparently Rayman legends is £11.99 instead of the £9.99 it should be *sigh*

I don't get it. 3DS NES VC prices are more expensive than Wii U NES VC?

Usually it's the opposite.
Actually Wii U NES prices are based off the Wii shop pricing of €10=£7 rather than the DSi> pricing of €10=£9. If they were based off DSi> pricing you could just go into Wii mode and upgrade to save a few pennies.

3DS NES VC sometimes uses Wii shop price bases, sometimes not. There is no pattern (e.g. Mario Bros £4.49, SMB3 £3.49). Edit: Or maybe that is games being €4 instead of €5 on 3DS sometimes again with no pattern.

Bought Mega Man IV and VI for 2,49€ each. Pretty damn good deal (and I'm not one of those that can't play Wii U NES games, because the games look like shit, as I don't see the shitness on my 40" TV). Now I have Mega Man III, IV, V and VI on Wii U and Mega Man 2 on NES. Might even pick Mega Man 1 on Wii U, although I don't really like it.

No, because are prices are great and NOA doesn't need to do anything to boosts their financials.

sarcasm
Goddamn, you need a new shtick.

It's not like Nintendo employees are reading this thread and saying among themselves "This 'Team Top Hat' prophet-he speaks the truth! Lo, let us lower our prices and majick software out of thin air to appease the masses!"

Your complaints are annoying because every time this thread is updated I (and I'm sure other posters) come in here expecting either updates or impressions and half the time it's you with the same complaints.

It's not that I don't agree with your general sentiments, it's that you have almost nothing else to say or to add to the thread and complaining here won't change anything about the eShop situation.

Huh, no Off-TV play in XType Plus? Really?

This is kind of a bummer. Was really looking forward to having a simple little shooter to pass the time with while I had some sports/news on TV. Good game, but not going to be putting much time in unless Off-Tv play gets added.

Scram Kitty was a little frustrating, then I got to Docking Bay 1 and everything clicked.

That's the first level where you have to use all of your techniques to progress, and even some that aren't clear at first like momentum. Whipping around on the little round platforms feels like Mario Galaxy's planetoids all over again, put a smile on my face.

Oh, cool, always wanted to try out Battle Chip Challenge, simply because you get to use the other Net Navis.

I got to Docking Bay 3 and realized the game is an uncontrollable piece of shit. I feel incredibly ripped off.

I felt that way for a short period, but quickly got used to it and got into it. It's a tough game, but more than anything it's not like anything else. I'd definitely say it's worth playing.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. You can purchase anything off the eshop with real money; the Wii U/3DS eshop doesn't use points.

It was a Playstation Now joke.

Edit: Eh, it was a lame joke. Didn't mean anything by it. Just reading through non-Nintendo threads wears off on me a bit.
