I'm thinking they wanted a lizard of any kind but chameleons are known for their tongues..and Adon always has his out? Chameleons are slow tho so who knows.

I don't actually know, but I would imagine due to he anatomy of animals, some characters would probably need entirely new facial animations.

Oni is a spider. The armor has four legs and I think those eyes are spider-like. Seth being a chimera is quite fitting.
