Mass Effect: Andromeda - Driving and Upgrading the Nomad Gameplay

Ty Shinobi.

I've enjoyed these videos.

Despite some technical issues, they've all looked like I'll have a fun time and some of the planets look gorgeous (one reminded me of a zone from Xenoblade Chronicles X). Can't wait.

I love how they're going all out with the customization in this game. Here's hoping you can also customize something in the Tempest too.

Driving looks like it could be pretty great. The mining implementation is interesting... might just be a good incentive to explore around the maps. That one seemed pretty freaking huge and not too cluttered with icons. Def looking forward to a return to that ME1 style exploration.

I wonder when outlets will start getting review copies and when the embargo lifts.

I believe Shinobi has stated the embargo lifts on the 20th (a day before release) and review copies go out about a week before then.

Looks fun!

It's so weird, like, every other video for this game looks good. My opinion keeps going back and forth and back and forth...

That's correct, though outlets or anyone with debug consoles have started getting their review copies this week.

A question, if you know the answer let me know.

how does the "Planet Surface" works. Do we have access to a single large chunk of map/hubs on each planet or there will be multiple hubs on a single planet.

I'm not sure why but I just cant get into this mass effect game. I kind of wish they made a new IP using this type of tech, rpg elements etc.

Driving around the planets is actually what I'm most looking forward to in this game, it just seems like so much fun.

The facial expressions on the Nomad look terrible.

Real talk though, game looks fun, not day 0 fun, but probably going to wait for sale and after I thin the backlog a bit.

This one wasn't as good as their other ones but I did like what I saw. The map looks pretty large for one planet with an estimate of 6 more including the other areas on the ships, it looks like this is shaping up to have a lot to explore. The release date needs to hurry up!

Is it bad that I wish the Nomad were armed? Especially since it looks like you can approach enemy bases in the open world in the Nomad and be fired upon.

Hell, how cool would it be if, while you were storming enemy positions on foot, the Nomad were blazing away with its mass driver to suppress the enemy?

I liked the IFV elements of the Mako from ME1. I just didn't like the "lol Physics" aspects of the Mako.

Is it not armed? Maybe upgrades are possible later on, I actually liked those sections in ME1 a lot. Game looks real nice in these open environments.

Though I don't really get what's happening around the character's legs. Is it ambient occlusion?

The leak way back when talked about being able to use your screenshots as wall decorations in the Tempest. Really hope that feature is still in since it sounded great.

Planets are huge, open explorable spaces. Some hubs are larger than others.

Debug consoles in 2017? I thought everybody gets keys or discs nowadays.
It is a disc. If you have a debug PS4 for example, you're likely to get earlier access. Don't ask me why.

It's unarmed, which really sucks. That the Mako had a gun was not the problem of the Mako's existence.

Hmm....I just hope that either the 'scanning site' isn't a one-time, 'if you aren't optimal in your placement too bad so sad' kind of deal, or that there's far and away more resources than your would ever need in one play through for any reasonable amount of crating capabilities.

I'm guessing it's the latter going off of ME2, but we'll have to wait and see.

Just don't want to have to worry about 'fine-tuning' the spot for the Nomad. At least it seems to be pretty quick.

Shame the Mako is gunless (can't believe i'm saying this after Arkham Knight lol). But the upgrades on it, such as 6 wheel drive, is really cool. Mining, not so much.

Have they shown any PS4 footage yet? Really interested to see how these environments look on it and how steady the frame rate is when you get something like the Nomad tearing across the environment at full speed.

Anybody else notice the skybox? The planet and the moon look 2D as they're turning the camera.

Its weird. Feels cheap.

resource gathering......the worst part of ME2.....I really hope it continually mines for you and gives resources over a period of time of like 30 minutes or so.
