BAKUMATSU GIJINDEN ROMAN 12 END

A fairly silly and action packed end to a fairly silly and action packed series. I'd definitely watch another season of this as this was fun as hell and had some incredibly emotional and poignant moments in it which is far more than what I can say for most shows these past few seasons. This was easily one of the few shows this season actually worth giving a shit about so check it out sometime.

Tamako Market 11

Such an obvious way to handle things after the not so obvious ep 10 cliffanger.

I'll just say that the point system in that market is way too much for such a reward ..So many point for ..... a medal ?
You bet tamako is overjoyed .. the amount of time you need is way too high !

Girls und Panzer episode 6

Dat smile.

Guess who won?
Ouarai! It would have been way too sad for them to have lost twice in a row so I just knew they would win somehow. They certainly had a struggle, though.
And it was a photo finish. Or something close to that.

Yes yes it was, if they messed that one up, even though they're not the flashship tank, that belongs to Anzu and team Turtle. There's no way they would have won with only two tanks left. Also, it wasn't a true victory, since Saunders went easy on them at the end. But still really impressive and they were definitely at a severe disadvantage in this match.

Good battle, even though I figured who would win, it still left me excited.

Also, my second favourite character, Noriko Isobe got to shine.

Poor poor Mako. Not only her grandmother, but it appears she's the relevative that Mako is the closest to. Having her fall ill like that must be so terrible. I like Mako so I'm really worried how this is going to turn out. Being anime, I know they wouldn't shy away from things turning out horribly wrong for her for the sake of melodrama. I hope things turn out okay. Uck, my poor Mako.

TAMAKO MARKET 12

Predictable and underwhelming yet still leave some doors open for a sequel ( that probably won't come )

Tamako%20Market%20-%2012.jpg

House of main characters ™

Tamako market relied heavily of each character interracting and it wasn't bad, it was even good but at times it lacked ... something ..While kyo ani didn't deliver a bad product i think they can do even better and tamako market was more enjoyable as a whole than chuu2.

In this depressed state of the industry. in a world that we have to crowdfund humanity's last gasp... the men of darkness hide behind light - they use ponies to get us to stop fighting. they used moe to get us to squee. the ad men only care how many brownie points they can score for the ad men as the same ad men, thinking there Jon Hamm from Mad Men run roughshod over every single part of the business, if there not asking for escorts to dance at a GDC event, there asking reporters to show their racks. There is no tact. no respect. and government's waiting, just waiting to get there hands on the video games just as much they have with the US animation industry got plenty of ammo. Wrong Phase right?

We live in interesting days.

So - I give this link as a reminder.

Two years ago I had a dream to be like Garry Whitta. I care little of his politics but as a writer, well. All I wanted was a chance. I never got it. Because the world are full of beta males who do nothing but pray on the weak. I get it. That's the world we have now. But I remember a day that evils reminders weren't on a TV show name girls, a man name Adam and his cum infested mind genterfided the city because he was white and had no crime on his record.

The post concerning what New York was before Guliani reminded me of what type of evil existed back then. And how its sugarcoated, candy sweet now. I hate it. It fake. Its why we gravitate to Metal gear solid, and to demon souls, and to dark souls, and to fist of the north star, and to others because that - in its own words, and it its own nature told us the nature of the evil we faced. And now everybody wants to get porn without the parts. blanked out. non existant. its a joke. NTR is a joke. and all you folks that fall for Crunchyfails/Sabans/Funi racist, anti human bullshit arnt helping matters. CGI future? You don't even have a fucking present when they cheat at fundamental maths tests! How much more CGI future?

People consider me a asshole. That's fine. Media Infected? some stupid opinion of a dude who never even seen a womans baby canal before and rejected it because it was the right thing to do - and now has a job promoting 15 year old proto racists that do nothing but make funny noises and do proto lesbian things 10 out of the 12 episodes.

But, at the end I stood my ground. I said what I wanted to say. I feel that the world doesn't have a place for those that think different. They just want us dead and gone. Because they don't know when it feels real.

http://www.globalshortfilmnetwork.c...26247001&bclid=62635674001&bctid=901618778001

This was the reason why I supported the Thundercats series.
And now that is gone. My only hope left - the only lifeline to give back to a industry that gave me my sanity is gone.

That's my cross to bare. Im a good Friday dude. The world never left the darkness that day. Its still there. And that coffin is still closed.

I just found a thread in OT that explains this part and now this is even more awesome.

"Should we only appreciate flowers at their peak, and the Moon when it is full?" - Yoshida Kenko, Essays In Idleness (Essay 137)

This was a truly wonderful episode dealing with, as usual, the transient nature of all things. The old lady musing over the stripped sakura tree her late husband confessed to her under really drove home just how sad time and constant change can be and yet that shouldn't stop us from finding wonder in those very same things.

basically this shit was so :firehawk even the kids were rockin' scarves. goddamn

Vividbutts Operation 12 (END)

ibvBkWROnUVzff.png

Because why not
As expected, we get lots of friendship :Uncle Ben and plenty of :firehawk. I was very satisfied by the ending though, most of the things I wanted happened!
We didn't get Vivid 4-way but that was pretty far down the list, Red x Black = Vividred was awesome and the post credit scene was satisfying!
ending resolved pretty much everything too so I don't have anything to complain except maybe being somewhat safe but that's hardly something to complain about.
There was a lack of "Quality" too in this which was good. (was not entirely absent though.)
An OK amount of butts. Could have had more though. Season 2 where?

The Light of El Cantare
Haganai would probably be exponentially better if it was just about the Student Council.

When a show would actually be improved by increased focus on a student council, that's a sure sign that something is deeply, terribly wrong with the show.

The beauty of things, enhanced by the transient nature of their existence.

Sure, beauty in and of itself is beautiful, and stays with us. But the most important memories we have are the ones that we find significant, and they can happen anywhere. Every moment can be that kind of memory.

I could probably learn something from this.

Speaking of Sakuga MADs, most of the recent ones I've seen are done by western people (Animeblue especially). Have the Japanese abandoned the concept, or do they never venture out of Nico? In which case, I should dig Nico more often.
It seems true that foreigners care more for that aspect of the compilations lately, yeah. MADs were and are parody videos first and foremost (shouldn't we be calling these ones showing animation scenes the AMVs instead?), and that is what we will find mostly on nicovideo, of course, where now we have duplicated entries of, for example, yamaneaki123 videos (http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/28391625) that were uploaded first to YouTube... although the Niconico Douga service is more accessible now than ever, so that is something for the better of it.

Yokoyama also gave the specific credits for the dancing and the concert in his IM@S episode; he corrected the people saying some scenes were traced/rotoscoped, too.
That's so cool! Anyway, the 'rotoscope'/'tracing' accusations are sometimes so overboard that one questions if those are even serious to begin with or come from the mere and sudden sighting of something distinctively "natural" that surprises. Precisely on THE IDOLM@STER series... didn't Megumi Kōno was suspect of doing this for her Ryūgū Komachi concert scenes?

Soooo what's next out of kyoani?
How is that petition going, guys? Will it make it to the final goal?
Will the result matter in the end if they don't really want to do it?

Vividred Operation - 12 (end)
The first 10 minutes are full of "HOW CONVENIENT" plot related things

Theonik said that they played it safe but it's so safe it became almost chessy.. Now that i mind much anymore since it's like that since the very first episode.

I know that this anime ending battle , while a little bit rushed IMO , managed to pass all the checks i asked last week for it to be good ..and good it was ..i want to post screens but i won't ...
Screw this !!! Screens here i go !
Vividred%20Operation%20-%2012.jpg

Classic despair moment .

I'll just say that frienship conquers all and that they managed to Solve near all the problems at hand thanks to some deus ex machina (or weird writting ).. i think i'll play the ps3 game when it get available :)

Final vivid ratings :
yellow>red>blue>green (not enough screen time for green )

Final buts ratings :
black = red = yellow = green = blue

SOTY ( scientist of the year ) : Issiki

VERDICT : Enjoyable

Yeah, it was definitely cheesy but that was to be expected given the show and at least it was enjoyable. And yeah it pretty much checked all the boxes! Can't complain!

Sooooodokooooooooooooooo.

Girls und Panzer episode 7

Breather episode.

My God, Reizei's grandmother is brutal. I better understand now why she's afraid of her. She could stand to be a little less harsh and judgmental on her granddaughter. Also, now I understand as well why she seemed so especially close,
It's because she's the only family Reizei has left.

If there's anything nice about her, I guess it's her "all honne all the time" mentality. She's very frank and brutally honest. To the point of lacking social skills by American standards, really. So much for "tatemae and honne" being a fundamental thing that applies to every single person in Japanese culture. Grandma has not tatemae, only honne. We're all born honne, you know.

Anzu is still awesome.

They had a match in this episode, but it only lasted 10 seconds. Kind of disappointing. Luccini deserves better than that. I MEAN...

This anime would make a good video game. In fact someday should make mods for tank games with these characters.

VividRed Operation stuff ( spoiler for final episode )

I just realised that during docking ...
It's usually the other girls that are kissing akane forehead i always thought it was the normal way for people to dock in BUT in the final episode , akane is kissing rei forehead .

Does this mean Rei the dominant one in this relationship ? Does this goes both ways ?

Is the only condition that akane be in the docking ?

Would this mean that if rei was the one kissing , we would have vividblack ? ( or something similar ? )

Can akane make vividred with anyone ?or does this work only with rei ?

SO many questions ... I need to study this fruther.

@Neo-Ranga 1-11

Actually better than I expected; the concept is interesting, the direction is consistently solid and the visuals are pretty inspired. It's also filled with 2D car animation.
It is on THE LIST, after all...
having said that, I only remember watching its cool first opening!

I'm watching Wings of Honneamise tomorrow. It looks delicious.
Don't forget to post your impressions here, man!

Doing better than the poll to get the SSY book translated.
True, true... I was going to mention that but didn't want to make Branduil sad... (._.)

Mouryou no Hako - 12

Could someone please remind me whether Kanako is still presumed missing, presumed dead or confirmed dead? I honestly forgot that crucial bit of information.

I am able to follow the 'mechanical' side of the story. The things happening, and the scientific concept of the human-machine. The 'spiritual' side of the story is still a mistery to me. What does a mouryou have to do with all of this?

A good question, one that I had myself. So I went back and did some digging around in Episode 7 for some answers. It makes me feel more confident.

Kyougokudou says an awful lot about mouryou over the course of that episode, some of which is contradictory. But I think his final comments sum up the necessary information.

Kyougokudou said:
Graves and wells have four edges, and are entrances which continue down deeper and deeper into the abyss. These places have faint edges which are not shadows; that is, places where mouryou can exist... In other words, they swarm in the boundary between this world [the world of the living] and that one [the world of the dead]... I suppose that is the true form of the mouryou.

There's a quick montage as he says these comments (at around 14:20), showing everything from shadows to shops to smokestacks, which I think is significant. And there's a quick cut to that cat at the end of the conversation, too, which I'm starting to think might actually be meaningful.

So that sort of tells us where mouryou are (that is,
within things with four edges that hide depths inside
), but it doesn't really say what they do. For that, we have to rely on some surrounding information. And (to continue with the stuff in this episode), for that we can look at
Onbako-sama's followers. The priest claims they are possessed by mouryou, and Kyougokudou, even when he goes on to expose the priest's ignorance, doesn't contradict this claim. So what do they do? They destroy their own lives. They give away what they have. They seal themselves off in boxes. They fall deeper into the abyss, and bring others with them. For mouryou are corpse-eaters, that feed on the dead.

This doesn't, on its own, answer every question about some of the spiritual claims made in Episode 12, but it's at least helped me make sense of things.

Oh, THE LIST is more up to date now!

2012's TV series additions seems to be Eureka Seven Ao, Guilty Crown, Hyouka, Apollon, and Zetman.

For films, they've added Wolf Children and Rainbow Fireflies (which I'm surprised still hasn't made its way into English beyond one screening in Canada).

EDIT: for the benefit of cajun, THE LIST is the Sakuga Wiki list of films, OVAs, TV series and hentai generally thought to have great animation.

I don't know, Yankee-chan to Megane-kun could have used more focus on the student council

the joke is that the main cast are the student council.

Also that Yankee-chan to Megane-kun isn't a show. Well, not an anime, anyway. Sadface.

Do they share a publisher?

I don't know what game this is, but I need to get it on a Steam sale.

Buying video games for anime mods. Totally legitimate. Story of my gaming life since 2010.

There needs to be some kind of rule of PC gaming that, "If a PC game exists, there are anime mods for it". Or will be in the future if there isn't yet.

Edit: I believe it is called "World of Tanks" just by looking at the related videos. Answered my own question.
