That's actually interesting task. To create one good/great season out from last 13 seasons. Can it be done? I have list of twelve or so episodes that I consider good but with little bit rewatching I could assume there would still be another 10 good episodes.

You know, there's a lot of episodes I actually watched I don't like at all, like this one with this lampwick guy claiming to invent itchy and scratchy. Really didn't like it.

It could easily be done. In fact, top post-classic era episode polls have been done before at No Homers Club and similar forums.

Here's a list of 22 episodes I quickly threw together. Thing is, you could probably come up with your own list of 22 that features 50% of this batch or less and still wind up with something respectable.

I recently rewatched season 12 and it had at least following episodes that were good:

The Computer Wore Menace Shoes - Another Swartzwelder episode. It's totally bonkers and it tallies Family Guy levels of story telling but I do not care. It's great episode with lot of Prisoner refrences. Prisoner being my all time favorite show might have some thing to do with my opinion.

Skinner's Sense of Snow - Genuinley good episdoe. There were some lame jokes here and there but it was nice to see Green Beret Skinner once in awhile instead of spinless nancy boy he has been redduced to over the years.

Trilogy of Error - Outstanding episode with great humor and interesting story telling style. Inflammable means flammable? What a country!

The Great Money Caper - I could take it or leave it. Homer is super jerk in this episode but there are spots or light here and there. I would place it in same category as the motorcycle gang episode. There are laughs here and there and much of the stuff doesn't make all that much sense but in the end I don't feel like I have wasted my time after it has ended.

I'll start rewatching s13 next weekend. I'll try to watch one season per month all the way up to current season. It's going to be hard since there are some really awful episodes ahead of me.

There are some episodes that I like and seems I listed many episodes I would have listed but also many episodes that I absolutely loath. I will never understand the love for The Book Job. Seems like it has become bastion of HD era episodes everybody and their mother tells me it's a good episode. I think my favorite from HD era is Holidays of Future Passed. Also I admit it's actually easy to make season out from the 13 seasons.

Yes and it's just bashing the new Simpsons so I think it's best to keep them segregated. I don't mind chitchat about the new episodes every now and then but talking about new simpsons every time new episode is out would just feel wrong. I support seperate threads.

See i'm the same way about this cause I hate most of the episode but the Prisoner stuff does make me smile.
